God is omnibenevolant (All-good), so no.
God is omnipotent (All-powerful), so yes.
Saying that he can but chooses not to is still no, as he is restrained by his own morality.
God is a paradox, a square circle.
If he is all-good, he is not all-powerful.

I do believe that the events of the Bible happened, though in a mundane, scientifically plausible manner.
Of course Mt. Sinai and the various altars and such exist, that proves that people believed in God back then.
