the part I miss the most is how everyone with a webpage had a list of favorites on the sidebar. these were links to other distinct sites. nowadays it's not commercially responsible to direct people away from your site so every site is now a dead end. there's no "surfing" anymore.

I saw a Twitter account today that looked like a normal "basic bitch woke" account with 8000 followers and an avi of a pretty girl; it was a fake account that made viral subtweets about products. There were people replying to it like it was real. There's something so fucking sinister on the internet nowadays, everything feels like and advertisement, even the people on social media. The internet has truly turned into television and it sucks ass.
