I wanna work with computers but I'm bad at math. I struggle with the basics of computer science. Should I major in Information Technology instead? Will I still be able to find lots of internships in college and be able to transition to a job quickly after I graduate?
I wanna work with computers but I'm bad at math. I struggle with the basics of computer science...
Well you can sell computers then.
Bumperino
How bad at math?
If you suck at calc then you can still be a sys admin but there is a lot of memorization for the qualifications.
If you are bad at math then I would be worried about doing anything with computers because that skill set is pretty simular.
Well I never learned any kind of advanced math. I have a fundamental understanding of basic math equations, fractions and decimals. So it's something I would have to learn as I'm going.
I wouldnt recommend it.
Math gets exponentially harder and you will be expected to digest formulas in one day while remembering everything you have learned going back years.
I wouldnt recommend any type of computer field if math doesnt come easy to you.
The reason is because both are just memorization and finding ways to use what you learned in new ways.
Sell drugs nigga
get an associates in computer science. usually only requires discrete math. then find work
>I'm bad at math
thats why we use computers...
>I wouldnt recommend any type of computer field if math doesnt come easy to you.
That's bullshit, I've been working as a java dev in the last 4 years and not even once had to use math. Of course there are fields like AI or computer graphics, where using math is inevitable, but other than that, you'll only use it to pass exams at uni.
