Putting an end to the leaf grocery meme

This is some lean ground beef I just bought at a local grocer here in Souther Ontario. Not Yellowknife, not Nunavut.
$14.96 CDN/kg, which is about $11.27 USD.
Show me where in the US you can get a kg of lean ground beef of this quality for less than $11.27. I'll wait ...

I recently bought half a steer. $4.30/lb, processed and packaged. Organic, grass fed, aged beef. That $4.30/Ib also includes roasts and delicious porterhouses and countless other cuts. Had a poterhouse tonight. I promise you have never tasted beef this good

Here's ground chuck from a non-chain butcher in one of the most expensive ZIP codes in the United States. 13.17 per kilogram. These are NYC prices, too.

That's a terrible price.

Extra lean ground beef is on at Superstore for 7.87/KG, regular price around 10/KG.

Please. Even if this is true that's a volume discount.

Thats pretty high price for a chocolate bar?

$13.17>$11.27 You prove my point.

I just realized how ironical it was of leafs to use dollars, yet speak in kilograms

Attached: 1546802487951.jpg (1380x603, 742K)

It's all true. I have more meat in freezers than probabaly all the meat in Ontario

... It's 3.99/lb at my local grocer.

I could get that same beef for, oh, about US $4.50 as I did last week. You’re fucking collapsing, Canada, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

It's cheaper here in cash but per income it's cheaper for Canadians.

Hmmmm "natural"
I would pass on that.

thats 3 or 4 times what i pay.

bad price
2.88 / lb
6.35 / kg
at Maxi

I linked you America's most expensive beef so you have context for how bad things are up in Cuckanada.

That's pink slime shit

>lean ground beef
>23% fat
>....of this quality....

$4-5/pound is about right. Give the leaf a break. He has a Somalian immigration minister, a homo president, and a shitload of French people and chinks taking over. This food price shit probably has some merit, but this example isn't bad.

$11.27/kg = $5.10/lbs

Bruh, you can buy hamburger here for like $2/lbs

groceryjew not shilling for Gillette anymore

Da fuq is Maxi

bitch I goo to my local great value market butcher (a pretty high quality butcher usually has 10 person lines) and can get it cheaper then $11.27. (like 6 to 8 bucks) C$15.00 is just fucking ridiculous. Don't even pretend.

a store in real Canada

Durrr , 5.99 x 2.20462(lbs/kg) = $13.20 USD. Proving my point.

lol is this a joke? This is still 4x American prices
get a life fag

About 5 years ago I refused to pay over $2 /lb for lean hamburger. We also used to get these eye of round roast for $1.99/lb that made fantastic crock pot roasts or jerky in the Bradley smoker.. those days are gone my friend. The cost of meat has doubled in 5 years. My wage hasn't doubled, that's for sure.

Ground beef here is always under $4/lb. I got 85/15 for $2.99/lb recently, but that was a pretty good deal.

>pink slime shit
You just described your mother giving birth to you.

>organic

it's the same here, except in colored money

Prove to me it’s not full of onions fillers?

>$2.00/pound ground beef tube
It's actually normal ground beef and it tastes pretty good.

No each package is just straight $6.00. Keep in mind Organic meat is more expensive...

you can get that for £2.50 in England, $4.30 CDN or $3.20. Canadians truly getting ass raped with the in store prices

I cooked a 2/lb tube of this today for my stroganoff, I was happy with the amount of liquid and the taste and texture was normal. It cost me $3.87 but that was a sale price so I grabbed the last 10.

A fucking leaf BTFO

Dude. You can get a whole COOKED massive fucking rotisserie chicken from Costco every day for 4.99 here. Leafs on suicide watch.

Based grocery outlet poster.

>some user comes up with some bullshit
>gets you to care enough about to take real world action
>Putting an end to the leaf grocery meme
kek. nice to see some classic trolling. I thought those days were gone.

>1.291909 lbs = C$8.77 = C$6.79/pound = US$5.10/pound
That's not bad, about the same as the US.

>2lbs is massive
don't rub salt onto our neighbors cause you can't do math. A five pound bird doesn't cook down to 2 pounds, unless it's been injected with salt-water to increase the weight.

>Organic
Cuck. Organic is a scam for hippies.

>Canadians think $11 for a kg of ground beef is normal
Now I just feel bad.

£4.44 /kg = $7.60 CAD
OP is paying $14.96 /kg , pretty much double the cost of beef. Whats going on?

Attached: beefq.png (181x289, 50K)

It's about $1 USD per pound.

Attached: IMG_20190106_113633.jpg (3120x4160, 3.2M)

My buddy isn't actually certified organic, but he does "organic practices". I help him with the fields, he has a moving pasture system it is pretty neat. Does about 20 steers a year
Enjoy your vegan lifestyle

Wow. And here in Missouri I thought extra lean for eight bucks was brutal

Per cooked.

Attached: IMG_20190106_115610.jpg (4160x3120, 3.11M)

That's easily 2$ overpriced.

Post cooked. How will Canada ever recover...

Attached: IMG_20190107_001145.jpg (4160x3120, 3.86M)

that was a sale price.

Not only are the deals great but with my shopping points I got gas for 1.78$ a gallon today.
Sucks to suck, leaf.

+1 respect.

I picked up some bone in hams before xmas for $1.49/lb I bought 4 and wish I had bought 20 of them. Fucking yummy. I have a nice meaty bone in the frig waiting to make some molasses crockpot beans with.

what %lean is it
if its 95% lean that would be reasonable

This is a pointless debate

> Leaf median income: 70k
> US median income: 40k + if you break your leg you go to jail for debts

Leafs have extra 30k/year to spend in beef if they want to. But most decide to invest in sex change operations it seems...

Is this a joke?
I just got ground beef for less than half that price... in California.
It wasn't on sale.

why are canadians so butthurt over this?

>posts $6.80/lb for lean ground beef as if it's a good price in Canada
These fucking troll threads.

I think OP may just be retarded.
That same $3.99/lbs tops and goes down to $2.88 on special

BEEF MEAT

From Wyoming, land of cattle, 80/20 ground beef is regularly $2.97/lb, or $6.55/kg, all figures in USD.

Lean ground beef, say 93/7, is more like $4.97/lb, or $10.95/kg.

I would say you're still getting ripped off, friend.

walmart.com/ip/Marketside-Organic-Grass-Fed-85-Lean-15-Fat-Ground-Beef-1-lb/49769689

leaner and cheaper

It's just the dumbest meme. It's as if there were five threads running at all times about how Americans don't have running water in their houses, and the mods keep them up for some reason.

>24$ for 24 ounces of Vodka
Holy moly

Careful with the gloating fellow amerilards. The usd is up for a nice little 30% circumcision.

No it's not.

>The median total income of Canadian households rose from $63,457 in 2005 to $70,336 in 2015

>The U.S. Census Bureau reported in September 2017 that real median household income was $59,039

Canadians are $6k usd worse off and still pay twice if not more for their food

Oh yeah, liquor prices are legitimately ridiculous in Canada. It's "sin tax". We're bad for wanting to drink, so the government can tax us all they want when we do.

It's been that way for a long time. One of the worst things about living in Canada.

Lean ground beef here is $3/lb.

Attached: cheap_beef.png (818x295, 40K)

Love Kroger. Live right on the border and do all our grocery shopping in Washington.

And burgers all weigh 600 pounds and shart their pants.

i got good quality ground beef today at my local meat counter for 2.39/ LB

this

That's universal healthcare for you. Taxes on what costs the system money. Cigarettes, booze, motocycles...

I can get 85% lean for 3.50/lb. 80% for 2.50/lb.

Sex changes, HIV, AIDS, all free.

73/27 isn't lean at all, your meat will be swimming in fat
meat is also cheaper the more fat it has
buy it in bulk and you practically get it for free

Attached: weeksworthofburgers.png (269x340, 53K)

The fat is tasty though.
Same store has 80/20 for $0.62 more.

Attached: leaner_leaf.png (843x287, 42K)

nice bookmarks bro

how is your bulging disc holding up? Did you ever figure out how to make money with your perfect vocals?

>Canadian education

You specifically said your sample represents the mean while the fellow burger told you that his sample was an outlier

To make simple for leaf: your average is as expensive as our most over priced in the our most expensive area.

Get fucked maple fag.

Bulging disc is fine if I don't sit or compress my spine too much. Working on the vokills for now, lol

That is 77% lean correct? LMAO. I pay $2.99 on sale but last week got 9lbs @ 1.99 lb (very rare price).

That meat costs £1.49 here. So all of $2.

You aren't really showing much more than the truth that Canadian prices are retardedly high.

Literally anywhere. Why would you want lean ground beef anyway though?
