I think it's an inevitability, but I really don't think we're there quite yet. The fires are being stoked and this is the closest we've been to the early stages of a civil conflict in a long time, but most people are still comfortable enough to not give a shit about any of it even if they feign outrage or have to suppress actual rage at the state of affairs as long as their material needs are being met.
