I hate been in the hospital and out all my life for a birth defect in my heart and I been on every pain med you can name. I've been given them on and off so much I can control now how much I want and don't want, I've even dropped them on a whim to get tolerance back for a few months, I'm just now getting them again, if I ever need more than 3 pills of 10mg hydros to feel good, I drop it for a long time and just drink a bit here and there.
It's pretty cool having full control of the addiction, it's more like a hobby now. My job has had no idea I been doing it for years and have even looked at people that walk in with a crazy look and tell me

This. I was a pretty bad alcoholic and i quit 4 months ago and have noticed many benefits. The most important being that it completely cured my sleep apnea, i hardly snore anymore and i wake up feeling more refreshed because my breathing has improved. This also led to improved brain function. Also my skin looks much healthier and my face thinned out quite a bit. Also lost about 25 lbs
I recommend trying to go sober for a month and i think you will see that you are better off without it.
