They took the poison out of it after too many abbos died. Instead there's just a bittering agent. It tastes like ass but wont kill you. It is basically 100% alcohol though so at least water it down 2 to 5 so it's normal spirit strength and you don't get ahead of yourself and end up with alcohol poisoning.

Is it 100% methanol? I'd say 50ml would do it. If you drank it then immediately drank a bunch of ethanol you might be fine. The treatment to methanol toxicity is normal booze.

That is denatured alcohol which is still 90% ethanol. If you got a bottle of 100% methanol and drank 50ml without having any ethanol to help bind to alcohol dehydrogenase you would very likely die.

Methanol is extremely toxic to drink. It is the simplest combination of carbon and hydroxide. The rest of the valence shells are filled with hydrogen atoms. They're quite easy to break away so it leaves a highly reactive free radical that forms formaldehyde and eventually formate in the liver. This can and will cause damage on the cellular level.
Also, for those of you talking about people drinking mouthwash and aftershave, the alcohol contained in those products is isopropyl alcohol, not ethanol. When its processed in the liver it becomes acetone. Though it will depress your central nervous system, it'll most likely make you extremely sick first.
