Traveling and seeing the world is great but you have to take care with your personal safety. The world is as you find it and you gotta deal with that reality. And there are monsters in this world. Not everyone is a nice fella. Riding bikes or hitchhiking through third world countries in the middle of active conflict borders on suicide.
This unfortunately is particularly true if your a woman. Young woman are too often targeted for a whole host of atrocities. Denying this reality is done at your peril.
