You're also probably only making that much money through capital gains anyway, and no one seems to be talking about those taxes. Here in NZ there is "free" public healthcare yet I still have private health insurance and received a private education the only things I would support taxes to pay for would be roads,courts, military and police everything else I have never used or never will

Yeah. What you mention is one of the reasons why tuition costs have inflated so much the last 15-20 years. It's basically impossible to not get a student loan these days if enrolled, and they also can't be discharged via bankruptcy, so it's essentially free gov. money. But there's definitely room for a barebones-but-still-full-education-degree out there, but it'll require the government to step in and put their foot down. And it also means not everyone needs or should go to college.
If they managed to get states to go along with requiring drinking age of 21 in the 70s while highway money is held hostage, they can do something similar here.
But it's the everything "FREE" from these hardcore socialist types that make rational people back slowly out of the room.

I don't think anything should be free in this case. There's already scholarships for the exceptional. But there needs to be something where the student is required to have some skin in the game, but also not tied to loan repayments for 20 years. That'll then cover the A- or B+ type of students who are good, and probably should go to college, but probably aren't the next big-break-through types.

What retards don't understand is that her tax system will never work. All prior data shows that when you start taxing the rich above certain percentage they get uppity and do whatever they can to hide it.

So here's what going to happen. She's going to raise taxes on the rich and make a budget according to the calculated money she thinks she's going to get. All of her stupid welfare programs and "free" college will be given out according to that budget. Suddenly the year will end and, oh no! It turns out the rich didn't pay what we thought they would.

So now you're left with a dilemma. You can either raise taxes on the rich more and hope they pay (they won't), or you can cut the welfare back a bit. Unfortunately leeches don't like being pulled so that's not going to be an option. The only option will be to tax the middle class because they're not rich enough to avoid paying taxes. Eventually the middle will become poorer and poorer until the system collapses and the rich bail.
