This article discusses paleogenomics, or the study of ancient DNA, and how it seems to prop up "racist" beliefs. Mainly it focuses on a study of skulls in Vanuatu from about 3000 years ago. Previously it was thought that Asians from Taiwan sailed out to Vanuatu, mixed with local black populations, and both groups co-created the culture. However the skulls turned out to be of unmixed Asian heritage.
Interestingly the article discusses the Aryan expansions, and mentions that Indians are actually two different racial groups, one which arrived distinctly more recently (This is well documented in Indian history and mythology!)
The author of the article, and indeed many archaeologists, are upset because these genetic discoveries indicate that certain ethnic groups move from place to place throughout, do not mix much with the locals, and are solely responsible for advancing the culture. They believe it will lead to the belief that certain genetic groups are naturally superior to others.
The article is interesting in that it drops some truth bombs, but the author clearly hates what is being revealed.

Human migration patterns and race genetic trees show that there are clearly 2 human species with multiple sub species, this is also evident in human off spring.
Negroids first migrated out of Africa into India and across to Australia where they evolved into Australoid. Caucasoid evolved in Europe (Iberia) and migrated to India, pushing out the Negroids, and Asia where Mongoloids evolved. Mongoloids then migrated across the SE pacific, which is why you still see some islands with tribal black populations, and across the Bering Strait to North America. Native Americas are Mongoloid and Indians are Caucasoid.
The two species are comprised of first Negroid and Australoid, and the second Caucasoid and Mongoloid. This is evident in a phenomenon called hybrid or chimeric species. If a Caucasoid and Mongoloid (I.e. Indian and French, or German and Chinese, or Spanish and Native America) have a child, the child is a smooth mixture of both parents phenotype. The child's features are somewhere in between both parents. Additionally, all children will look similar. However, if they mate with a Negroid or Australoid, you get dominate dominant features. The child may have skin that is closer to one parent than the other, curly dark hair or strait hair, same with bone structure. When they have multiple kids, the phenotype of the children vary wildly. I am sure you have all see picture of mulatto twins where one child is white with a Negroid brow while the other is a light skin black with a Caucasoid skull (pic related). If you search "black and white twins" you will see this is a common phenomenon.

Which would be West Asian, and Australasian. But this claim doesn't really hold up anymore, as most South Asians are cross bred to a substantial degree. So much so, that the aforementioned races don't exist anymore in the Near East.
Here's a more in depth explanation:
Indians/other South Asians are cross bred Aborigines. Not some sort of Asiatic Caucasian or something along those lines (although because of West Eurasian migration East, they are partially mixed with some Caucasian groups). With that out of the way, once you assess for their phenotypic traits, this assertion becomes self evident. For example take their conventional skin tone, and compare and contrast it with the other native ethnic groups in Eurasia. After you're done, what you'll see, is that they're the only race native to Euraisa with dark skin that exceeds the threshold of the conventional Eurasian tan(the darkest skin tone seen in other Eurasian groups). Not only that, but their eye sockets are also larger than what a Caucascoid should conventionally have. And their nostril shape is uniquely West African esk in appearance despite their geographical location. So what does this all mean? Well it means either they're recent African migrants(no genetic study points towards this) or are the cross bred descendants of the original Australasian population that balkanized and gave way to what we see in Australia, the Australian Aborigines. Who btw, seem to be their only unmixed descendants as India(their old homeland) was forcibly miscegenated into an old world Brazil.

Btw, is an older theory but some linguists assume that Sumerian (founders of the 'first high culture' in Mesopotamia) actually had a language substratum which resembles Indoeuropean (they call it the 'Euphratic branch'). Now if that were true... ;)

Ahh yes, I miswrote - I meant genetic studies confirm Indians are descended from two distinct racial groups, not that they are still divided up that way. The point being that mostly only one of those groups continued to writing, language, technology etc.
They are still SOMEHOW divided ... depending on social status of their caste you see distinct differences. Like a genetic shadow from a past age.
Northern Indians and Pakistanis have nothing to do with Australoid Dravidians, but ironically the Dravidians are much better on average than either of them judging from their development.
