In the Star Trek universe, after the third world war, scarcity was eliminated by technology (food from replicators, etc.) and so capitalism and currencies faded out.
Apart from that advance, how is the social, economic and political system of the federation of Star Trek different than civic national socialism?
you could look at it like that or they live in an incredibly tightly censored and controlled fascist state, do you ever see anyone with a choice? its the worst of the worst commie bullshit, or maybe its not, but i sure as fuck dont see a bunch of diversity hire retards running star ships, so we're going to need to address the problem of the masses of morons that 3rd world war to wipe them all out and only leave intelligent, civilized people, will be key or we could just start genociding sub humans from africa and the middle east
Caleb Brooks
>after the third world war, scarcity was eliminated by technology no. first there was the eugenics war (Khan) which was a nearly apocalyptical event. the bum looking people in first contact are survivors of that fallout. THEN we eliminated the need for limited resources
Eli King
I think a war is too expensive and profitable for the wrong people. There must be better ways to get rid of NPCs.
Caleb Bell
Oh hello there.
Set phasers to bun if you know what I mean.
Gabriel Wilson
They don't have money, but they have (a federation of) states. I don't fantom that their world ruling governing council possesses the lands on the earth privately, so I gather it's closest to socialsim in our terms
Looking like bums isn't an indicator of genes
Evan Morris
And by they don't have a state I mean that it's not textbook communism.
Jack Perez
Yeah people just willingly work their asses off for absolutely no compensation except for pride lol. I like Star Trek, but it's still retarded leftie fiction.
Evan Phillips
According to some episodes they do have quite a lot of freedom. There is no Federation gun control for one. Except for that Varon-T Disruptor Several times characters have replicated weapons for their own use or collection. It also seems like many "regulations" are simply suggestions. People can leave orbit without filing flight plans, drugs and booze are available, you don't have to work at all if you don't want to, service in Starfleet is not compulsory, etc... Seems like everything our current society tries to control through prohibition and law the Federation society controls through education of the consumer. Smoke crack if you want to but hardly anyone does because everyone knows what a crackhead is. The only real problem I see with the Federation is along neutral zones where smaller colonies fall victim to politics and treaties in which they have no say.
Andrew Young
Start Trek in all its forms is a push for multi racial immigration to Rich White Countries, so the real life (((Bosses))) can have cheap labor. In the fictional world the writers had to stretch a bit and claim that humans had evolved to be morally better than they are now, which explains how they are not just destroying everything with their phasers and photon torpedoes. Psychopathy will have to be eliminated long before a Start Trek styled civilization can be attempted. Imagine giving phaser rifles to nigger gangs in New York City.
Jeremiah Davis
Humans define themselves by contrast. If everyone has what ever they want it would destroy us. Unless they get rid of the 7 deadly sins from humanity but actual replicators seem more feasible
Kevin Hall
Imagine when real life replicators are built, except they don't just make stuff for you right in your room. The can make and unmake entire civilizations and store the programs for later use, to keep everything nice and clean when you want to be alone. As long as you control the machine of course.
The theory is more sound that it appears. Something built this world we live in. Whether it is some kind of God or a great Radiant Energy Source that everything come from, WE are here.
Eli Torres
But the thought process is they won't be nigger gangs when all the staples of life are available freely and all the challenges pursuits and accolades are achieved through becoming better people... Understanding physics etc
Is the thought process naive?
James White
If an aggressive eugenics program is ever applied to humans, including blacks, then I do believe the Hot Climate Natural Selection For Aggression can be tamed and or removed from them.
What I find illogical is that governments will be eager to breed jealousy and aggression out of humans. They could try to give everyone programmable borg cuites to keep them happy, but the disorders (or primitive evolutionary strategies such as Psychotic behavior,) are valuable in other ways. Psychotics tend to be between one and two standard deviations above their host population in I.Q. Also, 97 percent of Psychotics never commit murder, though they do love to fight and argue. If an A.I. runs the show and is strictly programmed to solve human issues without killing any humans, and scarcity is defeated, maybe there can be peace. I believe in the Nature + Nurture theory of human behavior.
Colton Phillips
If you have de facto all necessary resources you want and status comes with civil value, why wouldn't it be like that? Sure, there are certainly a shitload of slackers in the star trek world too, but if the nation is brainwashed into civic values (what else is neo-traditionalism?)..
Andrew Rogers
>but i sure as fuck dont see a bunch of diversity hire retards running star ships seems you havent seen the new films and serie mister white man, you should check it out, its SUUUUPER WOKE
also, i really miss KHAN, most based dude from the entire Star Trek universe. Also TOS is the best, traditional gender roles and "NO MAN", NOT "NOONE" TOS=BASED
Brody Wood
bumping, as this thread is way better than most spamthreads on this site

Warp speed to Ur anus mister Sulu.

>capitalism and currency faded out So they went back to a traditional economy but somehow advanced forward?
>t. never watched star trek
Leo Green
This. In this case the communism, capitalism and all of the systems really are irrelevant as the monetary system based on work becomes irrelevant.
Dylan Johnson
There were a few different currencies in intergalactic space that held their weight. The whole "there is no money" in Star Trek is false.

Ian James
food is a social construct
Hunter Rivera
computers, but still its stupid, something will always have value and be limited, even in star trek world, like habitable planets for example, im pretty sure you would have to be "rich" and powerful to gain control of one, ergo, the economy is still real my nigga
Luke Adams
also food didn't magically appear. you still needed base components to build said food. so entire planets were used as mines and it was often a metaphorical death sentence as you were likely going to live your entire life farming those minerals as there was very little room for status or growth.
