Were the 50s and the 60s, which many call the most prosperous period in American history, was that period the period of socialism in America because corporate taxes and taxes on dividends back then were 90%, much higher than they were in the 80s or today. Why did high taxes create a more stable economy back then but lower taxes can't create today?

You have to understand immigration law to know why the 1950s we're the greatest time to be an American. Homogenous white society where there was almost complete assimilation to the culture and national ideals. The U.S. was a nation and a country. Today, it is a balkanized shit show and low IQ mud people just want free stuff. Again, this is due to immigration law.

Taxes were high for the really big incomes, but many more deductions usually brought those incomes down to regular levels.
The economy thrived despite the taxes, not because of them, to a large degree because Europe and Japan were still recovering from the war.

>All white nation
>30 years of engineering conveniences since last such period
>War over
>Depression over
>Very low taxes
>No faggot slide threads pretending not to know that loopholes made the 90% tax rate academic, except for a few recluses and whackos too autistic to hire accountants

Bumping it just to spite you. One of the most over used buzzwords on this board

give example of loophole pls

There were maybe a dozen people that ever fell into that tax bracket and they just shifted their income to other means with lower taxes. Like how Warren Buffett can honestly claim he pays a lower tax bracket than his Secretary. Because he makes less money than his secretary via the paycheck every two weeks.

I'd say it has more to do with the deterioration of our education system. I mean, just take a look at both of your inability to even type a sentence without blatant mistakes.

My grandmother swore that the 50s were the best years of her life. Now I know why.

The country was 90% white, everyone had good vibes because the war was over, there was no 1960s degeneracy yet, the music and movies were high quality and not as jewdified as they are today, and MOST IMPORTANTLY there was a national pride and social cohesion. It sounds like it was fucking amazing.

It was great because of national socialism and a 98% white population. With niggers and liberals getting lynched daily.

We spend billions on education in this country. Education system can’t solve direct policy choices such as immigration, integration, and feminism that have undermined this country since the late 60’s.

T: boomer. Did not see a real negro until I was in high school.

Why don't we make them recover from another war then?

Why did yall fuck that up for us? Niggers are some of the most entitled animals I have to deal with.

This picture always makes me sad :(

The 50's were the last great decade.

The worst thing they had back then was greasers, hipsters, and beatniks. A preferable alternative to the modern climate.

Unions kept wages high for middle class workers.

The billionaires had a few less billions each, but the middle class thrived, spent their wages, and drove the economy.

>....In the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, for instance, when the 70 percent maximum rate prevailed, taxpayers could write off all state and local taxes, with no limit—including sales taxes, licensing fees, property taxes, and income taxes. They could also write off all interest expenses without limit—on their mortgages (no matter how many), all credit-card debt, auto loans, or home-improvement loans.

>...The code included dividend exclusions and generous provisions for capital-gains preferences. Taxpayers back then could shelter unlimited amounts in IRAs. Social Security payouts were tax-free, no matter how high a person’s income. Individuals could write down their taxable income through averaging provisions and transfer as much income as they liked to their children, who paid at lower rates. There was no limit to rental-loss deduction. Business losses counted against all income.

Fuck off Socialist Scum.

Here’s the whole 11 page tax instruction booklet

For reference, multiply dollars by 10 for a current equivalent ( eg, the Chevy Impala at the time was $2500 new )
Married making $12000 then ($120,000 nowadays) was %26 bracket.
All interest, not just mortgages, was deductible, much more medical expense, and other “misc” deductions too.
