Getting rid of Social Media is the best thing that could've happened to me.
I am still using youtube quite frequently mostly to entertain me when im bored, gotta get rid of that soon too.
However using a Smartphone for just having internet access on the go can be incredibly useful.

The problem isnt so much tech as it is the speed of tech developing.

Smartphones were a great invention, social media however was one of the biggest step backs in western history.

I think /pol is nearly as bad as phones and the combo is a nightmare. You waste your life on them and typing takes 3 times as long. More addictive than fps games and /pol on the phone comes close to porn for addictiveness. At least porn is only once per day on average, you are not spending a literal day on it while getting up at night.

I regret quitting social media and getting rid of my phone. Once you do it you just can't get the illusion back. I browse Jow Forums a lot on my phone and listen to music but not much else. I have no social media which is most likely why I have no friends. I could get rid of my phone and nobody would notice, nobody calls me or texts me.
