"Edgy is bad" is something that's only being pushed in the last 5 years.
Not sure why it's "bad" objectively, so I will continue finding it amusing. So there.
James Powell
They have an agenda that is deeper than words and that agenda will not change. That is why they will never listen. We also have our own agenda and nothing they could say to us will change ours either. Now you see why debating is stupid and a waste of time.
Asher Carter
>why the need to be edgy
why not? Are you a ppusssayyayyayy?
Jose Rogers
>Why are there no conservative comedians? Conservatives are dusty, out of touch rubes.
>Why are conservatives using edgy humor? Conservatives wouldn't be edgy if they were right
Which is it

Serious answer. Because it works better. Facts and arguments are boring. People want to see the intellectual equivalent of wrestling.
That's democracy. A bunch of highly intelligent people finding ever better ways to get the glut of average to vote a certain way.
Not long now and it will all collapse again to make way for new despots.
Jordan Gomez
do it for the lulz, what are you a faggot
Brandon Foster
"Edgy is bad" came along with the rise of SJWs in 2012/2013.
Isaac Torres
This. Even if you're a good debater with good arguments it doesn't mean shit if most people aren't willing to be curious. It's more about outlasting your opposition with conviction and humour and being accurate with your predictions rather than chasing people around trying to debate them all the time - that's a cucked mentality.
Aaron Ross
>Not real communism, goy
You lot really need to get proper jobs. When I was a lad we got jobs in the checkout to earn extra sheckles. Not try to sway public opinion on the Internet. You aren't very good at this. Everything you type just makes you out to be the smarmy undergraduates you are. You will never be a real field agent. You will never be a healthy weight.
Kevin Lopez
>Why so edgy
Mostly for the lulz, but there are reasons why it's effective.
For example, it subverts the "witch-hunt mentality" that the left likes to use to dispose of its useful idiots once they're no longer useful.
>Don't worry, hate-speech laws will only target "racists"
Then once said laws are implemented, the game shifts to painting defensive behaviour on the part of innocents as attempts to conceal guilt, leading to innocents being punished not only as "racists", but also as dishonest liars evading justice.
>I have black friends = I'm a racist, but trying to hide it
>I supported x civil rights policy = I'm a racist, but trying to hide it
If you're guilty either way, then it's better to overstate your position, as this breaks the witch-hunt mentality. If the "racists" don't give a shit, and are openly taking the piss, then what about those guys with the black friends? What about those civil rights republicans? And there you have it. You've won. You've made the normies think. It doesn't matter what they thought, only that they thought it for themselves. The may have only caught a tiny glimpse of how bad things really are, but what has been seen cannot be unseen.
Gavin Jackson
Because to make them legitimately reassess what they think, we have to ridicule them. That's why people are molded by this place- the relentless exchange of ideas, where nobody gets censored for having the strongest views. The strongest memes prevail, that can target the unbased on a specific and personal level. A meme is a vehicle for presenting an idea to the masses, and they're funny. And the least we deserve is to be entertained while we deal with the perpetual ignorance on the left, and we surely don't feel bad about laughing.
Zachary Thomas
They haven't listened since WWII. Now they're not only listening, but are desperately trying to appropriate our aesthetic
>Right-wingers are the real snowflakes
>Right-wingers are the real NPCs
>Etc
All this does is demonstrate just who holds the cultural reigns, and who is being pulled along for the ride. They can never win with this strategy. It is the equivalent of an atheists trying to discredit Christians by accusing them of "sin".
Nicholas Lee
>need
Nah senpai, it's just funny.
Ethan Perez
It's feels bizarre but speaking the truth is "edgy". It was kind of always this way though.
