It takes practice to reliably discharge rounds with a bump stock as just the right amount of forward pressure needs to be learned.

That pressure amount changes with the weight of the weapon and the heavier it is the more likely a stoppage occurs.

Shooting downward from an elevated platform makes it nearly impossible for an AR with a 100 round drum to move sufficiently to even function due to the low recoil of a 5.56.
