Time to buy a car Jow Forums

Time to buy a car Jow Forums...

Option A:
>$35,000 car built by Midwestern, middle-aged, high school dropout MAGA faggots earning $80,000 a year who feel entitled to high pay, low hours and a forever job?

Option B:
>$20,000 for the exact same car built overseas.

Which option do you choose Jow Forums? Be honest.

Buying American products is the last resort.

Don’t spend over 10k. All cars do the same thing.

Mexican colonist detected.

I heard the fish are dying in your rivers.

>$20,000 car
doubt.jpg

buy a user car of the model you want AFTER the 75%+ depreciation. I've driven top end Cadillacs for the last 5 years doing this and still haven't spent half of what a current year model would cost.

The reduction in wages goes straight to the bonuses of the executives. It never has lowered the price of anything. You're really dumb. Workers on both sides of that coin are getting kiked. .

New hires only make 16 bucks per hour for GM. So you can go on and feel better about your purchase.

You’d be suprised

>Don’t spend over 10k. All cars do the same thing.
filthy communists actually believe this

These “look at these dumb hicks who thought Trump would save their car plant!” articles are fucking retarded. The implication is that Hillary would’ve kept those jobs from being outsourced? Fat fucking chance.

$16 in hour is a decent money in ohio.
Remember the red state are richer (In materiel wealth) than the blue states. Materiel Wealth is the only wealth worth counting. Aka and gold bar on deserted island is worth less than $1 in a USA. Because what can you buy on deserted island. Similarly in Ohio you can rent a 2 bed room house for what less then it costs to have roommate in a one bed room Los Angeles. forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2015/01/04/solved-why-poor-states-are-red-and-rich-states-are-blue/#45ca48aa1d60

Don't buy new cars anons

My Mazda 6 was 23k when I bought it new in 2014. It's not even a shitty car. Where do you live that you can't get a new car for under 20k?

C: a quality toyota - "The terrorists choice for dependability!"

There is literally no reason to ever buy a car new off the lot under any circumstances.

>Voting Red didn't save car plant
Nor did the Obama bail outs...

i can list a shit load
here's a couple:
the prior owner of the car beat the piss out of it and drove it like a pack of niggers were chasing him to wal-mart every day.
the prior owner changed oil once in 20k miles
the prior owner doesn't change gear oil in the differentials because it's expensive.
the prior owner had kids that pissed on the car seats through their unchanged diapers.
the prior owner put in their own stereo "bypass" for the thumping system they put in, but took out before they headed to sell the car.
there are hundreds more. if you don't know any of them you're a fucking retard.

Yes, if you want to the only own of the car and intend to own it for a long long time. Of course, if you're just buying an ecotransport box then buy used. But I have bought one new car. A Pontiac Solstice GXP. Still own, still take car of it. With low miles, a few years ago, I'd only be out about 1/4 the cost which isn't too bad for new car being almost 10 years old.

I buy all my transport boxes from palm springs, lots of retires who don't drive the car but still get dings in it. This stupid retires then buy new cars every 4 to 5 years. This despite only puttting 12,000 miles on a car. If you want a good deal look to your local rich retirement area.

Literally none of those are reasons to buy a car new off the lot. They're just reasons not to buy one specific pre-owned car, of which you have literally millions to choose from.

il take option c and buy a used car for 2k
drive it for 5 years
pay almost nothing in insurance
then il buy an other 2k
Problem?

>buying a new car

The difference is she didn't make a false promise to. Democratic socialists would have saved it.

if you want to be taken seriously please type coherently.

Meanwhile, Chrysler has its half Italian dick in Leaf country....

Correct and based.

If everyone was employed in a job making $80k and buying domestic, it would not be a concern that the cost of the car was higher.

ill take the $5k used car

my god, from your prevalent use of "literally" to you inept ability at understanding common ideas... you are assuredly australian.
the point you miss (deliberately) is: you do not know how badly the previous owner treated the car. there is no way to know and after six months you may be spending 5K for a new engine or more. That is instantly reason enough to pay the small depreciation on a brand new car.

The jews go to you badly

Guys whats my next car for going from point A to B? 90s Toyota Corolla?

American cars are garbage and for plebs. Patricians drive Japanese cars, especially Hondas.

Buy a used version of option A because all cars are overpriced.

if you find a used one with a good warranty you may get a better deal than u think

i find 3 yr old sedans with 20k miles with a 100k powertrian warranty for 5 years for $11k alot think hyundai, kia, ford fusion/fiesta

I drive a nissan frontier. fuck american shit cars

I'm loaded idgaf.

>When you're retarded enough to think that a highchool diploma dictates success

I'm 19 and 2 years away from making 65$ an hour as a journeyman electrician. Don't have my participation award diploma because I dropped outta school early to start in the trades. The kids that used to eat glue in Grammer school and drool on desks passed highschool, what does that tell you?

>you do not know how badly the previous owner treated the car

But you do, unless you're a complete spastic. Are you completely incapable of checking a car for damage and wear? Are you just completely incompetent? If you buy a car from a retarded soccer mom, no shit it's going to be badly treated.
The best car I've ever owned is the car I daily drive right now. It's a 2008 Toyota Hilux, 3.2L V6. It had 260,000 kilometers on it when I bought it (For $2500 AUD, about $1700 USD), and it runs like a fucking dream. The former owner was a Heavy Diesel Mechanic who took good care of it, and was only selling because his wife wanted something newer.
I currently own 3 cars and a motor home, and the Hilux is by far a better drive than the 4 cylinder town car I bought for the woman despite having four times as many K's on it.

It is extremely easy to get your hands on cheap second hand cars of high quality, assuming you aren't a fucktard.

All auto manufacturers that accepted 2008 bailout money are fully under the control of the Democrat left. Any non-union, potentially conservative holdouts were purged in the turmoil. They are top-to-bottom neoliberal globalists that will continue to offshore operations. The Democrat kikes at GM specifically used the Trump tax cut to buyback stock. It's win-win for them. They can complain about Trump and spit in the face of bad goy voters. The neoliberals still think in the long-term that the sentiments of Trump will pass and long-term will go back to 2008-2015 "normal". "Those jobs aren't coming back"

Meanwhile, net manufacturing jobs in the US have increased, despite every last attempt from neoliberals to put a damper on investment and growth for middle-class American jobs. I wouldn't be shocked if most of the assholes cheer-leading for the death of the American worker are on the payroll from China or Mexico or anywhere else trying to loot jobs and wealth from America.

I'll take:

Option C:
>$3,000 Civic with some simple mods

Go read the /o/ sticky infographic.

hello mr car dealer... do you mind me disassembling this engine so I can plasti-gage the bearing clearance? Oh thanks.
hello mr car dealer... can i have the information on the previous owner? Yeah I just want to check and see if they were a retarded soccer mom. Thanks again!
Don't worry buddy, I have to sell my used garbage to somebody. I'm glad you exist.

>Car dealer
So you admit you're fucking retarded, then?

THIRD POSITION
copart.com/lotSearchResults/?q=BIOHAZARD/CHEMICAL
BUY USED DEAD PEOPLE CARS, FAGS.

Why don't I just buy the Honda that's built in Ohio where the employees voted for Trump and the car won't fall apart in 2 years like a GM piece of shit?

Gm got bailed out by Bath house Barry Hussain, so those billions of our dollars were sent to Mexico and China building and producing vehicles there. It’s Not Trumps fault! He fucking told him. The Cruze hatch built in Mexico, now discontinued! The other Cruze is or was built here.

Attached: D11CFAE8-D5BE-47C6-AAEC-4A2DE50BCDBF.gif (217x125, 422K)

you can substitute any noun there you want. It doesn't change the fact that if you're buying used you have no idea how it was treated.
you argue like a jew... are you jewish?

>buying new cars at full price

This always seemed like a boomer trap to me. A car just needs to take you from point A to point B, buying a car that's a couple years old with barely any mileage for 1/10th of the price is the way to go.

Those stealership prices are for autistic boomers who love to waste money

Attached: 1545708901365.jpg (353x352, 18K)

This! Good job!

Huh, Americans still make cars?

More like the literally who three.

75%depreciation screams shitheap from the factory.

I bought a MINT 1994 c1500 that was actually made in America, fort wayne Indiana to be exact.

There is no reason to buy a 20k+ vehicle. I don't have to go for emissions, I can buy classic plates and it has some soul.

You argue like a child, are you childish? If you have no idea how a car was treated then all that means is that you've already failed at being competent. It's your own damn fault for buying from scam artist dealerships.

The irony of OP's post as well as his picture is that the vast majority of automaker employees are union and thus much more likely to be Democrat than Republican.

It blows my mind that people spend more than 5-10k on a fucking car to get from a to b. Imagine unironically going into debt just so you can drive the latest shiny shitbox.

Yeah, she just told them they'd never have work again and to fuck off and die

Option C: buy a used car for less than 10k that will last at least 10 years and run that fucker into the ground, selling it for at least 1k when you're done with it.

It's not that fucking hard, you don't need a new car, sure they are nice but you eat the most depreciation in the first 3 years of new car ownership.

Entry model with zero options?

also
>buying a gasoline car with direct injection
I wanted to buy a Maza until I learned they suffer from vacuum isseus and the engines run on DI. Hyave fun with your carbon built up.

But user, this new model vibrates your ass whenever you go over a solid white line. Don't you want that?

Option C:
>Foreign car brand made in America. Unlike an American car made in Mexico.

Sell or worse case scenario, donate for boosted tax returns.

Just don't donate to Kars for Kids, they conveniently leave out the fact that their money only goes to Jewish families in their advertising.

The new supra is like 2 million dollars, bros. What the fuck. I remember being a teenager in the 90s and the mkiv were going for like 40k.

>screams shitheap
He already said it was a cadillac user.

what does anything about what was posted by OP or after, but before your post, have to do with the ease of obtaining a GED or state-specific equivalent?

Also, since you bought it up, a public education is supposed to produce the baseline knowledge that humanity has to offer up to whatever year. It was never meant as either an end-point of education, or as pre-college prep, which alongside the encouragement to go to school (any kind of school, even trade) essentially creates an unofficial continuation of public school (the whole 13th grade metaphor).
Although, it should be closer to the former; a good end point of your "early" life, and you should be educated enough to make a good choice as to what you pursue after. just because we've lowered the standards and more niggers are involved in the culture that happens to reach youth, don't assign blame to the model itself
Not everyone wants to do a trade. Not everyone wants to work with boring ass numbers and be a data entry specialist in finance, which is a safe but boring job. Not everyone wants to take their Bach and go work as a bank teller. Good for you that you happened to want to be/could tolerate being an electrician at a point in history where that job is higher valued, but it doesn't mean that high school is somehow less valuable in theory.

Emperor Trump...
is that you?

>t. pic related
You car dealers are absolute scum. Was ready to suck it up and go all in on a new Tacoma this weekend before I read this thread. Now going to go pick up my dead Grandma's 2004 Camry for free instead. Thanks faggot, you just saved me $450 a month.

Attached: nomoneyDOWN.jpg (1280x720, 127K)

Thank you, user. People are retarded.

i don't want to agree with you because fuck paying tens of thousands of dollars for a new car (and this is coming from someone who wants a conversion van for live-in adventures) but i can't disagree

you end up getting a better price on used cars but damn if your time (which I'm assuming you value) doesn't go into vetting each candidate

I'm from Alberta I buy a $50k truck every 7 years or so.

I don't know or care. I drive an 86 Toyota Cressida with the radio missing. I pay 550$ a year in insurance. I fill up the tank on $30. While I do run into some kind of retarded problem every Spring after a hard winter, its still usually a fix of about 200$ and a weekend with my dad. At 26 I really don't care. I'm almost out of student debt and I have a small nest egg growing. My 33 year old cousin bought a new Nissan back in 2007 after college and he's still 10k in student debt + 3k in car debt for a car that Ghanan immigrants drive around for Uber.

Status. Better wife.

Boomer detected.

What is I'll pay $80,000 for a German built car, Alex?

Option C :
Increase tariffs until there is no benefit from producing overseas.

I considered buying a used car but the discount for a recent year model was really not enough for me.
I plan on owning the car for at least 10 years so why not go new.
I see people driving $50K+ vehicles all the time.
I thought I was being sensible by getting a $30k Subaru, new.

never buy one of the first new models of anything ever you idiot

Take the moped pill

Attached: 77EBF763-DDC7-4AC3-82E0-EC4005FF2CD9.jpg (4032x3024, 3.9M)

Is this upside down for you goys?

That's literally every single car today retard

God I wish that were me

Option C. Buy a used car in good shape, like a non-retard.

Option B obviously. Buying a car made in (((North America))) is throwing your money away, buying a car made in (((Europe))) is throwing your money away, but later on repairs. Buying Asian cars is how you save your money and get a great vehicle

t. had to change the alternator in 10 years

what are you saying? to buy certified pre owned? or just buy the previous model year?

i've heard about the whole "decreases in value the second you drive it off the lot" thing, but how does that apply to me, the person who wants to upgrade my car, not you, the person who owns the previously new car?

Yup

This.

Gay

Buy an American or Japanese used car for maybe 1000-2000 dollars and do proper maintenance and repairs myself and have it last me 5-10 years... Literally no reason to buy new.

nope

Get a fuckin VW Jetta, them shits are terrific, minimal turn radius, very small profile (excellent for weaving around people), very fast stopping, cheap, very durable (shit that'd dent or scratch or total another vehicle in similar price class don't even phase this thing), and handle relative well (for non truck/SUVs) in caked snow/ice conditions.

The only 'downsides' are that these things have some piss poor acceleration and are some of the most generic looking vehicles out there.

As an American, and having owned ford, dodge, hyundai, and infinity, I can VW/jetta is probably the ONLY one I am ever planning on re-purchasing when I'm next looking for a new car. They absolutely get the job done and are a great value to boot.

different vehicles for different applications.
ford super duty for work, cheap asian car for everyday driving.

>be out of luck
>why is x car brand so shite???
kys

Cars weren't selling, that is why they are closing those plants. GM and ford cars sucked shit, so they gave the fuck up and went to just SUVs and trucks. Welcome to economics.

Option B and not because it's cheaper. It's because (and depending on the brand) made better.
Honestly, most cars these days, whether made in the USA or not, are usually really similar in price depending on the body style and such.

I wanna get a Lexus GS 350 (and that's not cheap) because it has amazing build quality. I could probably get a American made car just as nice and fast (or faster) for less but I wouldn't trust it.

If American companies could make good cars again, the buyers will come.

CARS FOR KIKES

>buying cars new

I'll buy a used car locally. And hope its a manual in good condition. Only simps buy new cars. Its a terrible investment.
