Explain your reasoning. Yearly vaccinations cover 3-4 strains that epidemiologists believe will most likely be in the wild and affecting people. The more people who are vaccinated against those strains, the less opportunity there is for cell division as there will be fewer overall carriers and infections. The total amount of viral biomass will decrease. This has the secondary effect of leading to less risk of mutation within strains as there are less total divisions with which to create mutations.

It should be pointed out again that there are a number of flu strains which are highly lethal to people with strong immune systems, but less lethal to those with weakened systems due to an over-aggressive immune response via cytokines, mast cells, and basophils.
