Can someone explain why Saudi can spend so much despite drop in oil prices but Venezuela gets completely wrecked? Theres no way Venezuela spend even remotely near as much as the saudis do, yet they have larger oil reserves. Neither can sell more than X amount due to oil agreements.
Saudi have light crude oil, venezuela don't so they've higher extraction costs and limited sale venues.

venezuela is sanctioned a lot, was mismanaged for years and saudi arabia had more industry than just oil even though it is very oil centric. Also venezuelan oil isn't the same, it's very hard to extract etc.

I really hope that you all Latin Americans, and especially Venezuelans survive from having to fight this pointless war. Not only that but it would show incompetence and weakness of US to create color revolutions on it's own landmass and might be the start of the end of US instigated crisis across the world, once and for all.
In the end, I hope for capitalistic oriented economy in Venezuela that will heal these wounds of mismanagement and make Latin America prosper, but this, this thing US does to you every 10-20 years consecutively without any backlash, is not a way to do it.
