>The Maker Movement is people thinking that they can do their hobbies better than others can do their jobs. But you can though, depending on what it is and how cheap the Chinamen made it.
There's some things you just can't buy with any quality and there's not enough White people to sustain production because they have been dumbed down too much as evidenced by the fact the White race is in decline. For example, there just isn't going to be products for large White families.
Blake Roberts
>being a jack of all trades is good No. Specialization built civilization
Bentley Perry
>no products for large White families It's called birth control.
Samuel Powell
I am talking about self betterment after you already have a job in something else. It never hurts to be able to fix light things on your car, or do minor carpentry if you are an office worker, doctor or whatever by trait. Just as everybody should be able to cook and garden a little.
Mason Scott
It's an objective fact that White men were less specialized than today and throughout most of history.
Over-specialization is what led to outsourcing and the destruction of Western economies. Nobody was able to fill that void when manufacturing went to Mexico and China because they didn't know how.
Alexander Torres
>Cook, clean, garden, captentry, fix car You PAY others to do this.
Luke Fisher
No I won't you ugly fuck.
Michael Gutierrez
Do you also pay someone to fuck your wife? After all you don't generate shekels with that activity so better outsource it.
Aiden Miller
You're a fucking idiot.
Logan Gonzalez
>if you specialize in work >you cannot have sexual relations German Autism at its finest.
Daniel King
You've been doing this shit for a year and it gets responses every time. I'm impressed.
Cameron James
>You've been doing this shit for a year and it gets responses every time. I'm impressed. I quit for a while, but yes, responses have become harder to get, for all OPs. Methinks t_d have mostly left. Used to get 150-180 responses an hour just 1.5 years ago.
Henry Roberts
White Nationalists could benefit from such a movement. Because it could serve as a platform of cultural expressions - that is design features that better express the feeling and will of the people (the folk) - after all design features is the unique selling point of Apple.
Also it could also serve as a way to combat overpriced monopolies. So even though 'not as good' and 'not as efficient' as professional production. It could still have a purpose.
An already existing example of this is of course Linux and many open source linux software - actually competing with over priced Microsoft products. And this while an OS is extremely complex to create where the 'make movement' probably focuses on more simple practical production.
Dominic Davis
Your journey ends here though Nothing you can bring against it.
Grayson Fisher
Specialization is for insects, leaf. Did you migrate to Canuckistan from China?
Criticisms >The Maker Movement has at times been criticized for not fulfilling its goals of inclusivity and democratization.[51] The most famous of these critiques come from Deb Chachra's piece, Why I Am Not a Maker in The Atlantic, criticizing the movement's gendered history and present [52][53]
Fucking huwaite males ruin everything.
Dominic King
Specialization is unnecessary with the internet, and direct digital manufacturing exists now that enables an individual or a small community to pool resources and produce manufactured goods that would otherwise only be available by industrial/post-industrial supply networks and their associated economies of scale. Everything else can be, and should be, a cottage industry, and if economy of scale or infrastructure is required, it’s a matter of politics.
People should take it upon themselves to make for themselves what they need or want, and if unable to, to organize to the point where they can get what they need or want only to the extent necessary to provide those needs (the smallest amount necessary).
Infrastructure and economy of scale is the cornerstone of civilization, not specialization, and a decentralized system is capable of providing both IF the means of production are distributed as widely as possible, which would allow a society to organize on the basis of a union of individuals organized on personal principle rather than requiring the modes of social organization presently employed.
Jack Martin
Hey it's the maker hater. Welcome back my dude.
Owen Reed
>German autism Yeah I have no idea why you think someone making a valid counter point now has autism. You’re ideas suck and you’re just deflecting from any good argument.
Austin Perry
lmao remember when we were getting these maker spaces shut down for not complying to fire codes? We should do that again.
Caleb Ward
Yes, Makerism is cancer. Those involved says it all.
Christopher Campbell
The Kraut was saying that specializion meant you shouldn't have sex with your wife.
Owen Rivera
Yes, because acording to your logic you are not specialized in it.
Charles Parker
Re-Read what the kraut was saying until you finally get it.....

you are so far off the whole topic that you should just kys. freedom means being man enough to do things alone. if you can't do shit without others, you are a woman and so is your power. jews want us to be dependant of society, thus will make us weakminded and induce fear of losing security the liberal society gifts us. we won't change society while fearing for our own existence. be a man and learn to be independented. woman love that shit and get wet when can do things alone. also you get depression if you, as a man, can't do shit. men are men and women are women. now kys op you little feminine faggot. nobody needs you in society if you can't be a man
Elijah Russell
>maker movement is freedom So is using punctuation.
Christopher Butler
Turns out you are retarded. Well, what do you know?
>well we might have to make our own soap, resole our own shoes, and grow tomatoes and potatoes on every spare inch of dirt we can access >but that doesn't mean we're poor or anything >no no, we do this because we want to >y-yeah, I'd rather be darning this pair of 5 year old socks to get another year of use out of it, but it's because it-its fun >what? no, actually i can't afford socks right now, unpaid time off because of the holidays really killed my last paycheck Shit like frugality and this Maker cancer is just evidence of how hard gens y and z are being FUCKING FUCKED OVER and bled dry. It's the great depression spread over a decade so no one will notice it and raise the alarms. A death by slow temperature increase to the water that boils the frog.
Jeremiah Martinez
This isn’t wrong, but it’s worded so poorly as to not be right, either.
Christian Wilson
>Shit like frugality and this Maker cancer is just evidence of how hard gens y and z are being FUCKING FUCKED OVER and bled dry. It's the great depression spread over a decade so no one will notice it and raise the alarms. A death by slow temperature increase to the water that boils the frog. True- it's rationalizing that being poor is good.
Just like the "millenials are choosing experiences (vacations) instead of houses" news article.
Jackson Martinez
Self made soap is great though. If you hunt you can use left over tallow for it. Add some herbal or aromatic oils and you have a soap with zero additives that are only in to manipulate texture, looks, etc. Fun fact: When soaps and shampoos say they are dermatology tested it means that the one part that has an effect on your hair was tested that way. It doesn't get done for all the additives.
i don't care. i know i am right. those that know it too, will understand. i am not here to argue with a leaf shill idiot
Zachary Kelly
That’s why you pursue it in your free time as a matter of passion, and if it involves the production of goods, you sell what you don’t need, and there’ll generally be a market for it in your community or over the internet. There’s a market value for such goods, but you get to set your own prices and if your livelihood isn’t dependent upon it, you can wait things out for the right customer.
Jaxson Green
Branching into other disciplines is often a good way to learn things or gain ideas you can bring back to your profession, this thread is retarded.
Dominic Morales
I'm actually starting a woodworking class in March. Not because I have a desire to work outside my profession, but because I think it's cool and fun.
Juan Gomez
people have always made stupid shit in their sheds, now they just autistically chat about it online in a feel good movement, making new things is just about the best thing you can do in your spare time, just dont share it untill youve perfected something usefull or at least hillarious .
Cooper Russell
>The Maker Movement is people thinking that they can do their hobbies better than others can do their jobs. wow, im extremely shocked that natural urges like exploring new subjects can be more rewarding than purely monetary motivations!
Dominic Barnes
>money means nothing when there are experiences to had! Degenerate detected.
Landon Wilson
hans please make guns like the good ole days, you're embarassing yourself
>reeee stop learning how to do things for yourself >being helpless in more situations than not is superior This is the mind of the leaf. Specialization is for insects and good goys.
Chase Lopez
>starting wood working Did you fail to get a GF, or does she want you to get a hobby?
Brandon Robinson
Yes goy, Renaissance men existing means society is collapsing! Dont use your brain or hands, just watch talmudvision for fun.
Better a degenerate than a mindless slave to societies whims.
Ryan Nguyen
>talmudvision Funny how you only blame the Jews for their specialization. Do you blame nuclear weapons on the primary exporter of Uranium (Canada)?
Jeremiah Brown
I don't make soap myself. My wife does. I only hunt and do some woodworking as a hobby. Currently I'm trying to get her into sewing. Would be great if she made summer dresses for herself and our daughter instead of buying them of third world shitholes. It would also save a ton of money for baby cloathing. I mean have you ever looked up their prices?
Hunter Howard
Nigger a bar of homemade soap is $5 and saves me boiling a pot of fucking lye and pigfat. Do you know how the economy works? ONE guy boils the soap pot, and the entire village benefits because now they don't need to boil their own soap pot. "It's just soap, nbd." it's one of a thousand small tasks that, if you had to do everything yourself, would end up taking all your time day and night. And the dedicated soap maker guy can make better soap than anyone else because that's all he does all day and now he's great at it. Somewhere, sometime, the economy was diverted from its original purpose of improving lives and increasing our free time. Now we are jewish wageslaves being bled dry to the point of poverty with no hope in sight. It's so corrupt the entire system is breaking down and everyone is going back to boiling their own fucking soap. YOU ARE RETARDED IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS A PROBLEM Take your reddit tier "wit" about how "great homemade soap is anyway" and get out. You're missing the entire damned point to try and be cute and score internet points.
David Hill
hurr durr you are degenerate because you dont allow your humanity to be forcefully molded for corporate profiteering interest.
Literally only slaves are motivated by coins; mindless consumers who have 0 understanding of power and disregard literally all of human history so your feeble attempt at clutching those shekels will give you some sort of life fullfilment, but your sad existence is my entertainment and your willing slavery is why people like me never had to work for real; because you do it for me, pathetic inbred mutt.
Instead i can develop my hobbies that i have purely for my own self-interest in them while never once in my 35 year old life worry about muh cashflow.
>Nobody was able to fill that void when manufacturing went to Mexico and China because they didn't know how.
No, it's because even with transport costs, it's far cheaper to pay some 3rd worlder $0.35/hour than it is to pay some fat union goon with a high school education $35/hour for the same work. Plus the 3rd worlder will be grateful, while the union thug will look at you like the enemy.
Jackson Taylor
you seem like a good guy with a good wife and I wish you the best, also please try to get involved with your government before they ruin Germany forever.
Eli Lee
dont be so hostile to based soap german, maybe he's decided to fuck off into the woods, carve chairs and raise a proper family outside of wageslavery.
Nicholas James
Ignoring the fact that we sell the leftover blocks, your argument falls apart when you consider we are talking about specialization that spans multinational concerns who only do shit cheap as possible for maximal profit of shareholders. Nothing more. When you do things yourself you are in control of the quality and spcifics of the product you create yourself which is something that does not happen anymore on the international market. Also instead of bitching how you are a wage slaving goy you might should think about how getting out of this "society" might be better then the alternative.
The Maker Movement only helps human beings. It keeps you from getting depressed. To the point where you no longer need meds. Know why?
Because it's work you actually do for yourself that you can take pride in, as our ancestors did. Whites are evolutionary-advantaged in this way---and it's how the industrial revolution came about, created by and for the original makers.
But no. Can't have people messing with socialist capitalism. No one is allowed to create or make, only consume.
If everyone was a maker, and allowed the shit tier jobs to be taken over by robotics, we could have an entire new economy based on "making".
Bankers and socialists and capitalists don't like that, they wouldn't be able to control it. So much more I could say about this matter, and how important it is for humans to continue to make and to do it as a profession. It's how we get our culture back.
Dominic Perez
>they want profit >that is why we can't have nice things You cannot achieve speciality products from any large producer...Go local
Grayson Brown
Thanks, but I don't think such a political change is realy possible. I think hunkering down and having my children or theirs rebuild is the best option. At least from the ones I see right now. Thinking of getting into bees next.
Cool, enjoy paying someone else for everything you need done outside your narrow specialization, because you couldn't be bothered to learn simple and useful skills.
Christopher Rodriguez
You are correct, op up until last sentence. People doing this is because they are trying to avoid taxes or need to supplement income, or it's no longer worth purchasing some of this shit because it's so goddamn expensive so diy shit becomes viable
Jaxson Perry
if it is succeeding, then the problem is with civilisation. similar thing happened after the disintegration of the western roman empire, but in the long term that restructuring, the severing of the interconnected med. system that the romans had build, was necessary for certain marginal provinces - not to mention germany - to develop. societal collapse would probably be bad for us, but good for our posterity.
Jack Rivera
Darning socks is retarded, but the other stuff is pretty cool.
Elijah Cruz
What the fuck is going on. I've seen more generic spam threads on other boards today than I've seen in months.
Logan Evans
The main point of the maker movement is to get people to make tangible things instead of rely on service jobs, we cant be a economy made up of only lawyers and diversity consultants
Daniel Ross
Or maybe they simply want to create and achive things themselfs
"Absolutely not. Never -- and I mean NEVER -- try anything that someone in authority, like Me, has not specifically approved in advance. This is not allowed, and is specifically prohibited, because if you do this irresponsible thing -- this Trying Things For Yourself -- you might learn on your own, and again, this is PROHIBITED.
Let me ask you a question: Are you from North Korea?"
Hunter Russell
Das rite Doing stuff on your own should be ILLEGAL
Nolan Wright
>bring car to mechanic >charges me for 3 things I don't need AND does a shit job >Plumber takes weeks to show up and charges me a fuckload to replace a pipe section >Furnace guy cleans my furnace for $200 while breaking rusty shit off and telling me it's broken Tradesmen are fucking crooks, that's why I do my own repairs. And my wife gardens, cooks, cleans, and makes all our soaps, pillows, and basic clothing. What a stupid fucking thread. OP doesn't even respond to any of the actual arguments, just calls people retards instead.

When you aren't restricted and you can just specialize and use money to access the general economy then you're right, but soon you will be restricted, and you will want to be able to circumvent those restrictions. More and more of the market will need to become black.
Colton Rogers
Your either paid to make this thread or you literally have no life. Did some jack of all trades touch u as a child m9?
