Self made soap is great though. If you hunt you can use left over tallow for it. Add some herbal or aromatic oils and you have a soap with zero additives that are only in to manipulate texture, looks, etc.
Fun fact: When soaps and shampoos say they are dermatology tested it means that the one part that has an effect on your hair was tested that way. It doesn't get done for all the additives.
