Ok. If I were you I wouldn’t worry about Revelation yet. Start with the gospels, Matthew mark Luke and John. Then Acts and romans. Use the teachings of Christ to interpret the Old Testament and the epistles. When you understand the story that is told throughout the whole Bible you will have the spiritual wisdom and maturity to read Revelation and realize that it gives hope of the justice and peace that Christ will bring. The end is only scary for those without faith.

Can I admit something to you anons? I struggle with three things specifically, right now.

1) My faith in relation to immediate self-indulgence with porn. I'm not spanking it to porn NEAR as often as I used to, but I'd like to cut it out of my life completely. And I work in I.T., so I know I can use software and wireless network configurations to block and lock myself out of all porn. Why I haven't yet, I don't know. I don't have any sort of valid excuse, yet I still give in to porn and procrastination. Just today, I've jerked it twice and wasted my entire day on reddit, youtube, and Jow Forums.

2) Reading my Bible on a regular basis outside of my church. For one, I brought up my desire to be physically baptized as a symbolic, public gesture of accepting Christ as my Lord some couple years back. One of the pastors who reached out to me (this is a non-denominational evangelical church, mind you) told me that their next baptism service isn't until August of this year (lolwat) and that they offer classes on it. I was taken aback--why in the world do I need to take classes on baptism? I know everything I need to know about baptism from Scripture, and made a point to declare it was something I've been considering for a very long time now, lest I be perceived that I'm making a rash decision.

3) The guilt of being imperfect/standard of unattainable perfection. I have trouble reconciling my command by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount "therefore, you shall be perfect. Just as your Father in heaven is perfect" with my innate tendency to sin and thus, be inherently imperfect. This manifests in guilt when I'm doing ANYTHING that's not working, studying, or going to the gym. I feel guilty sometimes just sitting down and watching a movie, nevermind my all-day procrastination today.

What are your thoughts? Anyone have advice or words to offer as food for thought?

2)Any Christian can baptize you. It sounds like that church sucks, find another. The best seem to be Independent fundamental Baptist. Although baptism isnt required for salvation, it is showing obedience to God. It symbolized us dying like Christ and rising again in his likeness.

3)Take your burdens to the Lord in prayer. Seek the council of God in all things. Thank God for all the good things he does in your life as they happen. Ask and you shall receive.

Seek like minded people and have fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Serve God anyway you are able. The most important work you can do for God is evangelism and winning souls to the Lord. Be fruitful spiritually.

It is a shame that the Mormans and JWs are out spreading their false religion with more vigor than 99% of real Christians. Witness whenever you can. Dont hide your light under a bushel but let it shine. The darker this world becomes the brighter we should shine as we share the good news of the free gift of salvation.

I have read the entire KJV cover to cover. I dont care for what some apologist says one way or the other. I know what is coming, probably a lot more than you do because I dont read heretical bible commentaries as a rule.
