I think there are different sides to that - sure, in the most advanced countries there are more people becoming full-on reactionaries than before, but at the same time in those countries the progressives have become more insane than ever. What's more that insanity has spread much further, even in countries that used to be more traditional and are just now picking the pace of the US, the UK etc. The same is true of rural places. They still tend to be more traditional, but with the advent of social media it's not that unlikely to find small towns full of roasties and soibois. To all of this add the fact that almost no place in Europe/the US is racially pure, and even if things do get better in the future, right now there are still people who have been brainwashed and will taint their bloodline, at which point more and more people will find it hard to expel them even in the case of a right-wing take-over (it's easy to be happy when a random whore pays the toll, but if my sister or even my brother were to ever have a mutt child I'm not entirely sure I'd be able to completely shut them out of my life). In conclusion, I don't know what Evola would think, but I personally find a complete takeover almost impossible. The best scenario I can envision is a widespread balkanization in small enclaves on an ideological basis, and I would then like to think that the more racially homogenous and traditional ones would eventually win over the left-leaning ones, thus reinstating some amount of order. I still believe that total collapse or a dystopian state similar to the one in Brave New World are much more likely.

Hmm. I guess you could say this is a little bit like how WW2 started but different because it's more global now.
What is scary, is that class-struggle has extended to race-struggle. This can easily turn into a non-white world vs. the white world situation. And we have non-whites actually in our countries which is dangerous. And at the same time, our democracies are filling up with literal fucking islamic shitskins who hate the west, which is just insane.

As for the former, I don't see the events you've named as being far enough outside the scope of normal modern activities to be viewed as desperation, it's just more of the same involution. I suppose it's easy to get caught up in it all, and assign especial meanings to these events, but when you look at them in context nothing extraordinary has really happened. Trump is more of the same...spineless politicians who bow to their corporate masters. It isn't uncommon for democracy to tilt towards more authoritarian measures when societal cohesion is low. Weakening secularism? Hardly. Maybe Evola wouldn't see it as any different from when he wrote RTT at all.
