Well if you know anything about what's actually happening, the reason Venezuela is collapsing is because predatory loans from IMF, sanctions not allowing them to refi the loans, causing currency to inflate, coupled with other sanctions and low oil prices. Venezuela was also "communist" when they were the wealthiest country in South America.
They are collapsing because of predatory capitalism via US sanctions.

Cruelty aside, I'm inclined to agree with this position. Time and time again throughout history, instances of the inevitable failure of socialism were dispensed with by left wing conspiracy theorists as the work of American imperialists. If the US (and western powers in general) maintain a clear and undeniable separation from the collapse currently unfolding, we would simultaneously cut-off the revisionists from their conspiracy fountains while delivering a propaganda win.

Can you tell us why those sanctions took place? Perhaps it's because the govt is looting PDVSA as it's personal piggy bank? Or maybe it has something to do with transporting hundreds kilos of coke under diplomatic immunity. Btw notice how the sanctions all are aimed at individuals and not the country or it's main industry. Venezuela was rich 15 years ago when oil traded at $100 a barrel. Now 15 years later after years of inflation it's at $50 a barrel and they're starving. Maybe it has to do with a glut in oil markets?
