I'll give you that. I was most certainly a mid left sort of guy before pol. After being here for years I'm certainly more centrist than ever before, but I'll never reduce myself to dying on any hill for someone like trump, and people who do are beyond my understanding.
The issues from a lot of them I understand, sure. But so many of these concerns are overhyped. Are criminals coming over the border in droves? I don't believe it, and I live near it in Texas. Are those seeking asylum being told what to say to rush through the loopholes in our system? I absolutely believe so. How do we fix it? No idea, but I'm paying my taxes for them to figure it out. The one thing I'm probably grateful for from this whole shutdown fiasco is that it shows that a vast majority of Americans are in favor for smarter comprehensive border security, and if the Democrats don't get with the program then they'll get stomped again.
