Why do people accept scientific theories? I don't even understand the big bang, how could I possibly "believe it"? It boils down to that you trust the main stream scientific consensus. You have tested and seen evidence of almost nothing. Why would you believe the moon landing or global warming? That doesn't mean God exists. It doesn't mean the earth is flat. It means the mainstream scientific consensus is not the default. It's not the more reasonable position. Much of it is equally faith based.

Earth is flat. Space isn't real. It's just that simple.

>bro my teacher told me this happened imagine not believing the sun is going to explode for no reason lmao
Some science doesn't have an agenda, so it's okay to believe. But theres always leftists saying "conservatives dont believe SCIENCE haha what wackjobs", usually tied with their flawed biology or global warming arguments by a handful of cherry picked leftist "studies" by "experts". You're kinda right though- we just believe all these things that we could never personally see to confirm all the science jargon used to justify it. Pretty soon I think we'll start seeing sciences become more infiltrated by agenda pushers, and eventually see obviously false things being mass accepted, i.e. how the psychology field and it's standards are being changed by the will of the leftist agenda.
I'm with you. It seems everyone is insane.
