Between 2016 and 2020 about 6.8 million people who voted in 2016 will die. 400k third party voters, 3.2m Republicans and 3.2m Democrats.
This means that if everyone who isn't dead who voted Trump in 2016 votes in 2020, that's roughly 60m votes.
Presuming that 10% of the electorate is new as in 2016 that would be some 14 million or so people. Trump, if he got 40%, would get about 6 million~.
There were about 6 million white people who voted Republican in 2018 that voted in 2016 but not for Mr. Trump.
The Republicans also appear to have gotten 1.2 million new minority voters. Assuming these trends hold, Trump should get about 21% of the minority vote in 2020 or 8 (or 9) million votes. Not much, but shockingly effective in swing states like Florida and Michigan in making those states solid red. Notably these are the states where the Republicans saw the largest growth in minorities voting Republican compared to 2016, indicating Democrats may not have a path to victory in 2020.
Overall there would be 144 million estimated voters. Mr. Trump should theoretically be able to win over about 74 million of these, based on projections and the 2018 results. That's 51.3%.
However we must note the number may fluctuate depending on state- in New Hampshire the 2018 results show it as a swing state that leans blue, but because in 2020 out of state students will no longer be allowed to vote in New Hampshire this means the state will likely shift red.
Additionally this assumes the Democratic share of the white vote remains consistent, but 2018 numbers which saw overall white democratic turnout fall in many states like Michigan despite massive resources spent on turning them out seem to indicate that Dems may bleed white votes in 2020, which may also reduce the electorate. Depending on how things go, Mr. Trump could get closer to 54% of the vote and a number of northeastern states would flip.
