If she does a few years in jail it gives you a great advantage in the future because it weakens her position to get custody. You need this advantage because women normally have the advantage.

The worst thing my dad ever did was stay with my crazy mom in hopes of a healthy, long-lasting marriage like his parents had and so we would still have our birth mother as our mother figure.
