I moved to Ireland two years ago, and the difference in work culture is insane compared to the shit I dealt with back home. For instance I get 20 vacation days starting, and anything under 3 consecutive sick days I don't need a doctor's note for and I still get paid. I have flexible hours which means I can basically start any time between 7am and 10am as long as I work my allotted time for the week. In general people take a much more relaxed approach to work here, but are still as productive in their days. Working itself is pure cuckery but by having such a relaxed approach to work I have much more energy for my side projects afterwards. As well, by working to an American standard of productivity I am already viewed as a better worker than most of my colleagues.

On the topic of NEETs they are more of a symptom of a sick society. While they have always existed in the past, they were never around in the form that they are today. In the past if you were unemployed it was likely due to mental illness, injury or otherwise unforeseen circumstances. I knew NEETs in America who were college educated from reputable colleges with high GPAs in STEM fields and still ended up unemployed. I can see why so many people suffer from chronic stress related diseases.

I don’t understand you neets. I typically work 9-5, take an hour and half for lunch, longer if it’s with clients. I’m in sales, when I’m doing well I leave the office at 3:30 and work at home, because no one can say shit to me. Made 135k last year, should make 200k this year, just had my best month ever, made 42k. It’s only 8 hours a day, sometimes less, what’s the big deal? I’ll trade that to be able to buy whatever I want.
