Never grew up listening to the radio friendo.
I did watch a show on CBBC (Children's BBC hours) at 11 or so (14 years ago) which showed conspiracy theories and ghost stories but it was scary as fuck.
Even me mum got scared.
The show was eventually taken off the air because there were so many complaints, cannot remember what it was called though.

X-Files was watched by too many normies. Millennium was more niche.

Too easy. You can tell something exists under the upper room. If you're gonna do secret rooms, building out under the yeard from the basement is the proper and easy choice.

90's until a couple of years ago. A lot of the people he interviewed would get onto shows in the UK, James Whale, Ian Collins, Tommy Boyd etc. But we never had a show like Arts.

Tommy Boyds human zoo and Iain Lees MMM are the closest and they weren't 100% paranormal.

My opinion of Noory is that he sounds like he buys everything the caller is saying.

Exactly, a great host, perfect for the show, you could just tell when even he was calling bullshit without outright saying it. Was pretty funny and entertaining and a good part of the show.

He produces nothing of paranormal value. His goal is to get his guests to ramble as much as possible to keep the gravy train flowing.

It's a shame he can't make things more interesting or add a dose of intellectualism to the broadcast. Coast 2 Coast was an incredible show before message boards really took off, and even in the 2000s before Art died it opened up a lot of minds.

Noory doesn't know the difference between playing along like he believes everything, and speaking in a way that belies the act for the rest of the audience.

I don't think it was /x/ posters making those threads though. I think it was posters from that Bellgab site doing it because they could post there anonymously.

I joined his website (artbell dot com then) to get access to the archives, and there was tons of shit, but none earlier than the 90s, then he retired for a while in the early 2000s, so I'm thinking the answer is "through the 90s".
