Its not like every minority is automatically integrated into the larger conciousness of medial culture. Neither are they entitled to the moment they settle as youd think they bring their own media along first. To be included needs some time.
In america asian presence is older and the media is more centralised. I guess exclusion can be explained by the government not wanting chinese culture to gain traction as its seperatist tendencies would be less impotent then black one.

I think the issue with this specific example is that a lot of asian filmmakers were originally just making martial art films here.
Another issue is serious asian actors who are very good at their art, like Lee Byun Hung, taking fucking meme roles in american films. Korean directors are slowly getting picked up for more projects in (((holywood))) and I hope it'll cause more asian kino.
