Public figures on hard drugs

What do you think about journalists and other public figures taking drugs to keep up with the pressure of public life?

It's pretty widely known that most journalists are on adderral. A popular one with ecelebs is Xanax: The Quartering has admitted to using it, Ian Miles Cheong has been accused, and pic related seems like he's on it or some other strong Benzo based on the way he talks (he slurs, but it's not the 'slow' slur of alcohol, xanax gives you this characteristic speech impediment where you talk at regular speed but with a retarded-sounding voice).

Thoughts?

My brother and his wife did meth. But they also had 3 kids under 5, worked full time, and were in graduate school. I honestly don't blame them.

I used to do meth but I didn't handle it as well as your brother/in-law seem to have. I would binge for 5-6 sleepless days and end up hallucinating.

Everybody these days is on something, kids these days take adderral, ritalin and other amphetamines, and that's if they're not taking SSRIs and antidepressants on the side too.
No one even takes the law seriously regarding drugs anymore, cannabis in America is illiegal yet everybody takes it on the side like coke in the 70s, I take paracetamol myself, what the hell happened to society that the only way to stay sane is to shut your brain down? This system is not bound to survive much longer if chemically induced mental castration stays the norm...

Xanax is a motherfucker. I can deal with Valium or Ativan, but Xanax... scares me.

You can tell that The Asian Logan Paul who just skammed kids is on Cocaine

Not exactly the type of person I was talking about, but Slavoj Zizek seems like he's on coke

It's roughly as physically addictive as alcohol. Some people can handle it, and some people, clearly, can not.

it must be stressful harassing people

everybody is on drugs.

bump

Those aren't hallucinations, that's delirium.

people still trust this turd with money?
lol

That guy is a Jew and controlled opposition.

Most academics take modafinil

If you need drugs to get through your workday you should get the rope.

Delirium-caused... hallucinations

half people in treatment are addicted to prescription drugs in some places

Bullshit. I work a high stress job in the medical industry and the only thing I take is Nexium cause my stomach is a bitch. If you need drugs to get through the day you are a degenerate and should lose your job.

Still hallucinations no matter how they were caused.

When i was younger i used to work as a concrete cutter. Id say 8/10 guys in the yard were on meth just to have the energy to work a 60 hour week, and carry heavy equipment all day.

Whats driving employees to drugs is the ridiculously long hours and long weeks they are expected to work. Why are so many people forced to work weekends now, yet people are surprised their workers are on drugs.

Know your limits and do what you need. I have to drink to function sometimes. Just don't overdue it.

I am close friends with a very prominent journalist in a specialized media for an industry. Everyone in that field (which everyone has heard of) knows this person and looks to him as an authority. I have known him for more than 25 years and he is a complete pothead and alcoholic. If this pretty straitlaced industry is reported on by a total degenerate addict like this guy, I can't imagine what mainstream cable news papers of record etc. reporters are doing.

what do people who work really long shifts in the emergency room take? they sometimes work 12 hour shifts. you cant tell me some of those people arent on something to get them through the day. cause some of those ER nurses and doctors are weird as fuck

I have to agree. Either that or they drink themselves to death to cope with the depression & stress caused by such a miserable life.

I used to be one.
