I noticed that they (mostly) portrayed simulated intelligence (((AI))) in a negative light. I dunno, I get the feeling that they're subliminally conditioning people to accept that it's going to be a much bigger part of life soon, but (((they))) want people to look down on these sort of creations as being inferior. The purpose, I presume, would be so that when real (((AI))) -ie machine embodied consciousness- is 'born' there is already an innate animosity towards it, which will probably lead to some sort of struggle for existence between the two groups - human soul in flesh bodies vs human soul in machine bodies.

I really believe that the (((AI))) we have now is just a mock up, it's all programmed, no actual consciousness or tangible 'intelligence', and when the real shit is created -machine tethered consciousness- it will be so terrifying because of the reality of it actually being conscious. Its crazy because I have been contemplating this for a long while now, and some threads I've seen on here about the state of (((AI))) now vs actual machine consciousness and self awareness have pushed my understanding of this type of thing further in this direction:
If we create actual conscious beings, litera self aware machines like in popscifi, what's to say they don't inherit a human soul? Or that they can be possessed by other entities?
