The root of the problem is simple - you have a continent that can't even adequately support a decent quality of life for the population it has already and that population is growing at an exponential rate because the rest of the world keeps shipping food and medical supplies as quickly as they're consumed. A) The West starts voluntarily dialing down aid to Africa. Millions will die.
B) We let the problem continue to grow until the rising cost of aid and the migration crisis get so bad that the West has no choice but to cut off aid. Billions will die.
