Which automotive companies does Jow Forums support, purely on a corporate values basis? Ford has been run into the dirt by a (((CEO))), and Volkswagen is pretty far from a "people's car" nowadays, at least in the USA.

what has Jow Forums become?
Ferrari
Toyota because 1000 folded nippon steal
Toyota, Suzuki, Porsche, Alfa Romeo when it doesn't break down, Skoda
maybe Subaru, modern KIA/Hundai
All of them overall, not solely for corporate values.
The point is to NOT support the companies that are globalist shitbags
Tesla, Ford and GM are subsized shit and they should go bankrupt.
Toyota all the way
kawasaki
why? are you from Thailand?
SUV: Toyota land cruiser or Lexus lx. Anything else is a compromise.
Wagon: Porsche panemera wagon. Sedans are pointless. If you are too poor for a Porsche panemera get a Benz e55 amg or a Saab 9-5 or w124 Benz diesel.
Sports car. Porsche 911 or boxster if you can not afford a 911.
Above are perfect choices, choosing anything else is degenerate.
seems to me the best thing to do is buy and old classic and spend the weekends with your white children in the garage teaching him how to build it into a hotrod.
Supporting a car company for its “corporate values”
>enzo was killing kids monthly people still fucking love ferraris.
I dont support any car companies. Why?
Because they could build a kickass car for cheap but they dont because they can charge more money and 2 the fucking governments have made being awesome illegal.
Corporate values? A living engine, sublime balance, and a well made transaxle.
The 80’s e30 and the porsche 911 were the last true cars.
SUV coming soon.
For real.
:(
>Porsche 911 or boxster if you can not afford a 911

>off-road SUV's only.
Stop LARPing

lol

pls stop
If you want to live in the 80’s go right ahead. I’d rather have a comfy car with better safety ratings and overall way better performance
t. Lancia Owner
Ohhh yes an a shout out to my favorite odd duck the 914.
Truth is the monstrosities we build today arent worth the metal their printed from. They have no real soul unless they cost 100,000 pounds. Sure i guess you could by a GT3 RS or a ferrari and get that kick in the pants feel, but the idea things have to be uktra safe has stripped them of fun.
I get that market economics dont support the car I would build. But it should be built anyway. Not because its practical but because its great.
Boxsters are trash. Their steering is heavy with little feel. Their turn in sluggish and their performance poor. They were designed to be that way. They didnt want a rehap of the 914/6
A car you can work on
Fuel Injection
Aluminim blocks
Light bodies
They were drivers cars. Way better than the shit nowadays.
>Le proprietary parts
>Le proprietary engine manegment and computer systems
>Le planned obsolesance
>Le mis designs to radically increase labor for rutine maintanance
>Le parts designed to malfunction
Better. Yeah your right better at being shitboxes to get you from A To B. But not more enjoyable.
Everybody I know says the early 2000s ones are great, especially the s. I test drove a 01s and didn't feel any issues with the steering. I can't speak to the new flat 4 cars, or even the 2ng gen flat 6 cars.
The flat6 boxster s are a great value right now. As is the 996.
Lada
>aluminum blocks
Weren’t they made of cast iron back then? As far as repairability I agree that it has to come back, but you can’t really argue that today’s cars are far more comfortable in almost every aspect than 80’s
Inhavent driven a bimmer for a long time.
The M3 was an okay car, but the M5 was boring.
The Aston Martin i drove was misbalanced and handled poorly as well as being underpowered
The Bentleys were shiite
Of course the 911 was a decent car. Felt good handled well good power. The GT2 GT3 were good cars. Fast responsive intuitive handling.
The truth is they could build a car like that for 50 grand if they wanted to.
Its a matter of steering and suspension geomotry, balance, and power supply.
They dont because its a small segment and they can charge more. Ohhh well.
Not like I can afford a car anyways.
you have to pay me for my opinion
Jump in a high end porsche and youll instantly know what I mean. The layperson coming from a honda would think it was spectacular.
You drive a car that takes you from point A to point B. Don't listen to the insecure cucks pretending to be rich, a car is a practical device, don't get Jewed into staus symbol shit, buy what will cost you the least amount of money over an extended period box time.
I have driven a 996 turbo and a 997 carerra 4, and long ago a 993.
Did you drive an s or base model? What series? I only ask as I really can't think of a better car in it's price range and segment then a 986 s.
toyota is the based guy car. It never breaks and if something is wrong with it. It will drive you to work and then the workshop after.
Look heres the deal.
They can put out a brand new prius for 30 us dollars.
Fuck that.
Make a car v6 turbo 250-300hp. (Enough to overcome the weight of the batteries) Mate it to a 100 hp electric engine not designed for efficiency but raw performance. (This of course could be changed with engine manegment protocal and variable valve timeing. Even the priuses modified cycle for greater efficieny)
Put it to a transaxle mid mounted 45/55 rear weight bias car.
Make the ride height 50 inches or lower. Make it look sexy. Design the resonance in the tailpipes to howl. It would be awesome. No one would buy it.
But it would be a monster that beats porshes and gets 40+mpg when your careful and is affordable.
People in detroit design cars for fucking detroit.
>Which automotive companies does Jow Forums support,
None. I buy used 10 year old cars. Why the fuck would I pay 20k for new shitbox kia or ford when I can buy 10-15 year old audi, bmw, vw or merc "lux cars" for 3-7 and fix it for cheap?
Pic related cost me 500 eur, drives like a beast and only thing that broke down was aircon and intercooler blew up. That's about 700 in rapairs over 2 years.
2001 boxster s. I have a senstive ass and inner ear though.
Because racecar, nigger
None nowadays since they've all gone the road of soiboi SUVs/Crossovers and even worse, electric. I'll stick to my MR2.
To add to this, the days of the affordable sportscar are over. They are all DCT or autos and overpriced. There's not many affordable sporty cars. It's cool that we have cars like the BRZ and the Miata but how long till this breed just dies out?
Too much of a risk unless you know the previus owner wasn’t some kid pretending to be fast and furious. Otherwise this is a smart move
Also, maintenance schedule. If the previous owner can prove, or you trust, he did routine maintenance the. It’s a done deal
Its not profitable and its not large,
But I think more than that the low range sports cars are femine.
They are designed to be unappealing and not sexy. They lack masculine styling ques, are often ugly, have thin tires, and zero sex appeal.
This is by design to capitalize on male impulses to peacock. They design a better looking more powerful car but it costs 100k.
The Miata for example is a sports car by accident. It was supposed to be a replacement for the teenage girls 80’s dream car the VW rabbit.
The segmant dies because it is antithetical to maleness and masculinity. Its not exclusive and its feminine.
But then again the BRZ isnt “feminine” and it isnt doing that well.
I just feel like if you build something great people respond. But I guess the truth is that they dont. Look at apple.
Nothing German. I want to support Japanese cars but right know I have a Reanult.
Drive a vintage volvo. Most reliable and safe. Very easy to work on and if you put some work into the engine they can be fast
You either buy a Toyota or a Honda, those cars are basically indestructible.
If you want to step it up a notch, get a Mercedes, the E-Class should be the highest you should go. Anything higher than that is overkill. These cars are basically indestructible and have very good value and can last for 300,000KM or even more.
>300000km
>186k miles
>bragging about this
Ohh boyy
>The Miata for example is a sports car by accident. It was supposed to be a replacement for the teenage girls 80’s dream car the VW rabbit.
The Miata was designed to be a modern mgb, was patterned after the lotus elan.
Whether the mgb, Miata etc are girls cars or not is really an individual perspective.
Not enough power? Girls car
Convertible, girls car.
Etc etc.
Mazda was going for an untapted market. There wasn't really anything like it being offered at the time that I can think of.
I only support DeLorean.
A car company run by 1 guy, a white guy, tall and thin, with a white wife.
He opened a factory in Northern Ireland - 100% of his employees were WHITE, that is a fact.
When featured in the movie Back to the Future, 100% of the characters in the movie were WHITE (with the exception of the black janitor in the cafe with aspirations of becoming Mayor).
Stainless steel, the body will never rust, the body will never look shit-brown.
0-60 times still worse than a minivan
listen zoomers: buy some 90s economy car if you are going places, and get a 90s suburban or van if you might need to live in it. big car if you are fat or tall. avoid anything with turbo or supercharger, or any kind of fancy engine management shit.
keep it clean and well maintained. I have had no problem picking up cuties in my cheap old junkers. and i was popular as a teen cause i could go everywhere. i had one where the heat only works in the summer, and my girls would hold me tight & shivver as we went places. that helped our relationship progress.
cars are for going places. don't work too hard to go places
i drive a 1979 bmw 320i everyday
very nice.
Only Japanese manufacturers are red pilled. They stay the furthest from SJW bullshit.
I drive an 88 325is, BMW is excellent.
Ford
Henry Ford was pretty aware of the banks and the group overwhelmingly representing them.

ummmm....
Company was funded by WHITE powder
.
Yep, I drove one a lot and it had the power of a tired hamster. I think 0-60 was 13 or 14 seconds, but I was fun to drive still.
Only rich kids & tracksuitscum drive those here. The running gag is that BMW is diagnosis.
..
>vw rabbit wtf?

Well said mate
Looking at a Renault next for me.
At least the french support there industry, ours has rotted away.
>At least the french support there industry, ours has rotted away.
Electrics go shit after a bit and are expensive to sort. Parked up once, locked the car and heard the rear window slowly wind down. Had to take out the fuses in the end. One by one as all the windows failed.
What's a timing belt?
I drive a ford focus, but I like How Nissan treats their customers and how they didn't sign that petition from automakers 3 or 4 years ago about how new cars should be illegal to work on by non certified professionals by stating that cars could be hacked into performing unlike how they were meant to perform because they were so computerized now. Honda also didn't sign the petition, so they have my respect.
That said I know nothing about working on cars other than replacing a flat tire. I need to get more familiar with my focus.
>Nissan
>Owned by Renault
Not a Japanese company anymore
Dacia
I am sure i have seen that before, even so Top Gear did an episode on it too when they drove to abandoned warehouses and factories.
Depends if its second hand or new, if its new warranty deals with it though still no fun when it does fuck up.
I got one currently, nice enough drive and does what it says on the tin.
Wish i could get the sports model that they have in south america desu.
Henry Ford was, but he's long gone and modern Ford went full retard on social justice.
Better get a bigger framed car with a spacious engine bay if you want to tinker around for the 1st time. Focus is very crammed, you'll end up breaking something.
Mazda because Doritos and black magic
are HDs made in thailand?
I'm a professional driver, I do about 80,000 miles a year.
For racing or personal driving, I like Subaru as an entry level. Beyond that, you'd know what car you need when you're ready for it.
t. Tim Allen
>hot rods
Boomer detected
>buy a classic

Get a fucking Kia and hotrod that instead.
>tesla
That's called rice, if you do that I'm personally going to hunt you down and murder you and your whole family.
>gotta buy a new car every few years
>I wanna be cool!
>Me! Me! Me!
why are we neighbours with you again?
BROTHER
Can confirm, wife's P85 spent months getting the panels sorted. Kind of a fun car be great when they figure out how to assemble them properly. Reminds me of P38 gen Range Rovers in a lot of ways.
Just buy old Manuals and laugh at peasants paying car loans for shitboxes.
The miata is the same as the del sol. It even had a smily face on its front.
It was a chicks car that was petit, light and a convertable. This also happened to make it sporty.
But they most certainly were not targetting track day kids with the fucking miata.
Blocks your path
Nissans are unironically aweful peices of shit.
That pic is choice
The same company that goes to space
Honda and Toyota are the best cars for a redpilled man who doesn't want to be cheated. If you want a more fancy expensive car then you can get a Lexus or Audi.
Debate me.
dont like their cuntish elitism and shady practices.
see dealerships rolling back odometers for select cusomers
see cars you can only drive at tracks when the company lets you
see blacklisting journalists who dare say anything negative about their cars
but dammit if I dont love their round fiat rear light commitment. they refuse to use any other rear lights that dont come from their history of using fiat lights and sticking with it. well done.
You got some nice bux cowboy, proud of you
boxster? you misspelled cayman
yw
I pretty much agree. Mercedes can come too.
>have incredible racing history
>have generations who grew up watching said cars race
>have those customers getting to the age where they have disposable income
>be owned by rich companies that can give you funding and expertise to build new amazing racing machines and sports cars
>make a city car and thats it.
oh god rip lancia
Old manuals have tons of problems.
Age, no anti lock, poor engine power and efficiency, no engine manegment, no abs, no overhead cams, no- variable valve timeing, usually 2 valves sometimes 4, no electronic steering assist, some dont have power steering, and many have design flaws which mean constant work, push rods. Fucking carbs.......
All that shit is sorted on a new car. Direct fuel injection. Timing chains, 4 valves, a/f ratio sensors, higher combustion, better metulargy, traction control, anti-lock, turbo chargers, egr valves, catelitic converters, and check engine lights.
And its all easy to do. A modern 4 cyp engine can easily push 200 bhp and give 35-40 mpg highway.
You dont have to piss fuel out the tailpipe.
the 981s are dope im on my 3ed porsche and its my favorite so far.
