For a long time I've believed there's a connection between poor writing ability and leftism (not that all conservatives have a great command of the language). My theory is that if you can't construct sentences properly, it's likely you can't handle much higher thinking. Thus nearly every leftie meme that contains text has one or several misspellings/grammatical errors. I suspect it's also the case that if you have poor reading comprehension, you'll be more likely to accept any conclusion regardless of how nonsensical the underlying argument is, because (a) if you can't understand individual words, it's hard to unpick them, and (b) people prefer to make blind assertions than to admit their own ignorance.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville is a great school for science and engineering. However, the social sciences and the liberal infestation of their professors has slowly been creeping in the last decade.

I had some of my GI Bill left and was considering going for a Masters in History for fun (why not, right?) and I had a meeting with the Department Head in his office. His bookshelves were full of far left books including Karl Marx himself. I declined and went for an MBA instead.

However, the science and engineering programs at UAH are top notch.

My grandma used to live near Milton Frank Stadium which used to be an ok area up to the 90s, but now it's blacked and the area to the south just before the arsenal is beaned. Humanities buildings at UAH are tiny and old compsred to the huge glassy science buildings to the south of campus. Sure the engineering and computer science building is a shitty converted office but I think it will get an upgrade

HSV City Schools are still bussing black kids from the inner city projects into schools like Providence and it's made it a complete shithole.

My wife and I are looking into buying our first house. We were looking at some of the new houses being built in Madison off of Zierdt Rd (which are REALLY nice by the way) but the school there is only 25% white because of bussing.

On the internet, the school gets an "A" for Diversity and a "D" for reading and math. I'm not kidding, look it up for yourself. We'd love to send him to Randolph but it's a little out of our price range and really out of our area for our daily commute.

UAH is a good degree well respected around Research Park and the Redstone Arsenal. Tons of alumni go to Atlanta and other cities around the south

I've encouraged people from all over to consider UAH when they've said they want to pursue engineering. I've convinced several people to go there. For the price of tuition, you can't beat it compared to some of the other engineering schools around the country.

This is why big cities are doomed to fail in the south. Integration is mandatory. You can't have nice areas and enclaves. I'd rather live in NYC with a little bit of money than Birmingham or Memphis

Right now I'm leaning towards South Huntsville on the tail end of Bailey Cove. Farley Elementary, Challenger Middle, and then Randolph for High School.
