Here's the thing. In reality, the only two styles that can possibly "work" in a real fight are boxing and wrestling. Not only does mma prove this, but so does every fight video on the internet or the fights we've all witnessed/been in.
Then again, when two men have their adrenaline going and they seriously want to hurt or kill each other, it doesn't really matter who knows what. Hollywood and media deceived everybody in the sense that "if one guy knows how to do this" don't dare challenge him to combat. Just watch any fencing or hema video. Sword fighting or any other type of melee weapon combat doesn't look as flashy like it does on tv. There's a few basic techniques and it truly comes down to who's more aggressive. Hell, in the bible and other sources it says that giants and strongmen walked the earth. Are you going to attempt to "technically" fight somebody that's 15ft tall and can carry a lion under each arm?
Size, strength, and determination to win is what a real fight comes down to. If Joe Rogan were to fight Alex Jones to the death, I'd put money on Alex.
