Jow Forums How should we deal with the homeless problem? Every day i have to deal with these pieces of drug addicted trash begging for money, stinking like shit, and being downright fucking insane. It used to just be a big city problem but now they are starting to infest even the smallest towns. How do we as a society deal with these unwashed disgusting hordes?

Free psychological profiling/checkup. Round them up into brigades. Pay them for the work half of what a person would make if they weren't hobos.

Re open the insane asylums there was a time when any blemish on society was locked away never to be seen again but it was considered to cruel. Instead we are now overrun.

Most of them are drug addicts or have mental illness, sure. How about instead of leaving them to wither idly in some alley they're rounded up, pass trough psychological screening, be given medication for whatever ails them and be forced into labor? That way even what little they produce of worth would be better than nothing and if they don't like it they can be left to use their money to keep slinging drugs but be kept stable by medication on the job so they don't fuck it up.

You act as if the majority of them would want to work. The ones I interact with seem perfectly content with just being a blight on society. Sure there are some whonpribaly just need a good kick in the pants but the majority I would say would rather continue living as the filth that they are.

Well why not help them being a blight by using, paying and containing them? They can be drug addicts all they want but if they create worth trough labor they will be paid for it and thus get drug more easily if they don't want to improve themselves. The idea isn't even to force them either it's more like an persuasion mixed with a threat. The threat of labor for a payment of easily to procure drugs and resuming of their degenerate life style in a specific are. Maybe like a makeshift public housing so they don't have to be on the streets.

As for them working I honestly believe that they just don’t want to work any job no matter how menial or easy would be to much for them. Granted I do believe that there are some who do need genuine help but that the vast majority have just given up on life and perfectly content with dragging everyone and everything around them down with them.

Love them as you would be loved. These are our broken masses for these are our forgotten. They live in our revulsion, and take iniquity as a second nature, as it is their surrogate for love. Maybe a few guards and cameras here and there to catch anyone slacking off or how well they're doing their job. There's no need to forcibly pick them off the streets just find a way to make it harder for them to continue living in a place and tell them there's a better way to get cash and a place to stay not to mention less danger too depending on where they are exactly. No threats of rehab or investigation just a quick psycho-profiling and maybe a pill here and there to spike the food so somebody doesn't go whack if they have an underlying condition and keep others obedient.

I'm sure they'll find a way up using this method while the apathetic ones will gladly work for a while if it means they'll get money to buy more coke or meth or whatever without anyone judging them or stealing their living place. When they can't work anymore toss them to some other institution so there's more space for others that can. Meanwhile the streets will be clean because everyone can be a junkie or dreg in a place of their own that's not entirely lawless but neither that lax.

Many of them have schizophrenia, it’s just you can’t force them to take medicine.
A lot of them just want the freedom of the street. There are lists of shelters, but shelters have rules - like no drugs.
I don’t feel sorry for them. There are lots of places to get help if you really want it

Basically replicate whatever forced them on the streets and use it to force them into a labor brigade regardless of their views about work without having to actually touch them otherwise people would think it's too cruel and they themselves wouldn't want to because it's giving them the illusion of choice. The taking away of choice that is. They had no choice just remind them of it and they'll work.

Killing them is the only way to fix the problem, and we know that won't happen. Which means the problem will continue without end, watch your backs out there.

Why not just lock them away in a facility and either heavily medicate them into oblivion or lock them in a small room where they can smear their shit on the walls in peace.

I'm homeless by choice. Same with every homeless person. Although they have the crazy's, low-iq, bad upbringing or some combination of those factors, we are WILLFULLY lazy and CHOOSE to portray ourselves as victims to ourselves. I've met many homeless people, stayed in shelters etc. I've only met a few Native women that struck me as genuine people doing their best. The rest are egotistical, masochistic pieces of shit. I never respect them, I treat them worse than they treat themselves. One time during the summer when I was living innawoods but still in city limits I found a beautiful spot by a river to camp. Well, half an acre away from me was a guy in a tent who had a site, like shopping carts and stuff. I resent consumerism and even homeless people who carry more than a backpack but whatever. Except this fucker had every single strewn everywhere. Garbage and tp and wrappers everywhere, as if a 30 foot radius around his tent was his fucking kindgom of trash. I went in his tent. Stole all his food and energy drink powders. Shit on his bed and pissed all over his clothes. Never saw him in person. There is zero reason to treat the environment poorly if homeless, it's reprehensible and does not constitute a commentary on society imo

I've got a plan for this, I call it the three R plan.

Rehabilitate
Relocate
Reintegrate

Rehabilitate them by getting them off any drugs or other substances. Get them working and contributing to society.
Relocate them to their home town or somewhere with many available jobs.
Reintegrate them into society by having them join a local club or participate in community events.

Yeah well obviously if people make use of what they're given for ill reasons they might have a run it with the guards or maybe in the future wear cheap bracelets that are hard to remove or break but track their location so they don't run off never to be found unless they come to terms with whatever they were assigned.

That should be done only for those that are too far gone or uncontrollable. Meanwhile at least half of them should be not only mentally but physically able. These qualities should be used if not to their maximum then to some degree so something is produced and in decent quality as well. Not to mention it will teach them some skills so handing out diplomas might make some of them change.

An unofficial slave labor force that allows people to buy their freedom based on their will to change and integrate into society. Nobody is really forced into slavery they're choosing it and paradoxically aren't much like how they became homeless and jobless in the first place regardless the true reasons. So nobody can really call it slavery or inhumane or undemocratic or uncivil and it doesn't necessarily really have to be so because in the end those that make up the labor force can either climb up or fall down without anyone pushing them in either direction.
