The problem is that this is a very liberal and rational outlook on the world which is antithetical to the Catholic reactionary worldview. The bible is a book with sacred scripture inside, and just reading it won't divine truth towards you. Thats why you need a spiritual companion to guide you in your readings of the sacred, since the sacred won't appear to one as an individual but only when you are in the body of Christ. Had a pretty significant experience today, and I'm curious. How do you justify your hatred of other races to God? How is this not a sin? Condemning one's own sin and repenting of it is important, and not spending time with unrepentent sinners is important. Many minorities and cultures encourage and enable sin and this should be avoided and spoken about. But to hate someone for their skin color automatically or to think oneself superior for one's faith or skin color is absolutely abhorrent.
Condemning sin is important to me and protecting christendom is important to me. But beyond that i honestly can't reconcile the mind and heart I've had on Jow Forums this last while with the humility before Christ's teachings.
Anyone else think about this? Like I don't even want to go on twitter because of the hatred and pettiness that exists there. And I justify coming here only so that I am reminded of the reliance of christendom on western culture.
I can't speak on behalf of Jow Forums, but group denunciations are a very complicated and highly nuanced concept, and to regard it as mere race hatred is either an oversimplification, or to accept deliberate misdirections by shitlib meme arguments. I'm sure there are people in genuine error over the subject, but I do not think group denunciations are in principal wrong.
For example, the Aztecs deserved to die, just like Sodam and Gomorrah deserved to be destroyed, or near all but 7 (8?) of humanity in Noah's times. I'm planning on going to a catholic church tomorrow to speak to them about this and see what their thoughts are, because I align with their views on so much. The main sticking point honestly is that they seem to hold the pope as infallible which is completely blasphemous to me. That feature belongs solely to God and His Word. But we'll see, I have a lot of learning to do.

The passage about faith being dead without works is A. Backup to the passage about bearing good spiritual fruit, meaning that you can tell if someone is saved by their works, not that works are necessary. It is taught, however, that some will recieve more rewards than others in heaven based on works, but to get into heaven you need to recognize that your works are dirty rags before the lord and the only way you can be justified is through the sacrifice of jesus Christ. Catholics believe that A. you need to "work out your salvation" when scripture teaches that if you believe on jesus then you'll be saved, period, and B. That you can lose your salvation, when jesus said that once you accept him he'll never let go of you.

in matters of traditional teachings, and in matter of ex-cathedra statements (usually in councils), the Pope is infallable. But when he teachings things that have little to do with universal, traditional, and orthodox things, what he says is merely his opinion and is entirely fallible.
There's plenty of stuff in the bible and Catholic doctrine that allows for different groups of people to not like each other. You are allowed to know that different groups have different averages, and that stereotypes have a lot of truth to them. You just aren't supposed to go crazy or hurt people.
Keep in mind that the pope is only infallible when speaking Ex Cathedra, which is very rare. It does not apply to any old statement he makes, or even formal ones. It's only when he puts on his pope hat and they do a special ritual and he announces that he's going to do it. This happens less than once a century, and the current Pope has never done it.
So it's not that he's infallible, it's that when he says correct things what he says is infallible? Sounds like literally every human being on this planet.

There is a concept of papal infallibility, something most heretics don't know about. That is Francis can not edit church doctrine but only add more which he really hasn't. His own person opinions, which I agree are liberal so I disprove, are not infallible nor are parts of Church doctrine so I can throw them into the trash. I pray for a conversion of heart in the pope's politics but our trying times are a time to stand out as orthodox reactionary Catholics, not to lose faith and leave.

The catholic church is traditional; they pass down the faith as they receive it, so why would a Pope have to say anything truly novel? but really it would apply for example when a pope is further defining something with more nuance.
