Colorado and many other states are passing bills to force the electorate to vote based on who wins the popular vote. This is a massive setup for a tyrannical system. 12 other states have also went along with compact. It’s amazing the lengths the democrats are going to make sure they are in complete power. There are dark forces at work here. The American system of government that has worked for 100s of years is being changed because they can’t play by the rules. Scary times ahead.
How is this constitutional?
Won't survive a court challenge.
>This is a massive setup for a tyrannical system
I hope those politicians who are voting for these unconstitutional laws are aware of the punishment for treason
Civil war one small step closer. It is coming PREPARE
>This thread again
Can you people at least wait until the Colorado House passes it too before making five dozen threads about it?
How is it unconstitutional? States have the right to choose how they choose their electors. There are a couple states that already split according to popular vote.
It's not Constitutional, but Trump is a pussy and won't do anything.
No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
>No state shall
>Enter in to any agreement or compact with another state
Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3.
“In the United States of America, an interstate compact is an agreement between two or more states. Article I, Section 10 of the United States Constitution provides that "No State shall, without the Consent of Congress... enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State."
State and local govs are full of deep state cronies it's actually really fucking gay. There's a limit they are reaching, we can see exactly what they are trying to do with this.
Imagine if Hilary had three SCOTUS appointments
Nice filename
is correct: the constitution gives power to the states to select electors for the position and vote for the position, but does NOT describe a manner in which they must determine that vote
has the correct way to challenge through SCOUTS, but the states can just go pass the same law with additional wording that this doesnt rely upon the vote of any other state and that they (correctly) should award based upon the popular vote results WITHIN their state only
It's only unconstitutional if it takes affect without the consent of Congress.
This is quintessential democrats not understanding the long term effects of their policies, and game theory. Giving your electors to the popular vote winner means that your state becomes irrelevant when it comes to campaign season. There's officially zero reason to campaign in Colorado now if you're running for president. Once citizens of these states watch as candidates ignore them for a few elections they'll realize that their own self righteous rejection of the electoral college completely backfired and screwed themselves over.
It keeps me awake some nights & I sometimes get a chill when I think about how close we came to losing the country.
What’s it matter Schlomo?
Colorado just lost its right to vote in 2020
We still are.
I was hoping Trump could turn it around. I've been wrong. He's a speedbump.
We're still headed for civil war.
in one universe, she does.
Correct.
What the fuck is this fucking shit. I now am certain there will be a civil war. Also fuck the fbi, cia, and nsa.
Because those images have embedded tracking metadata.
Kennedy probably wouldn't have retired, though I guess Democrats might assassinate him like they did to Scalia. I'm assuming a 2016 Hillary win would have also flipped the Senate to Democrats but she wouldn't get any more SCOTUS nominations after the 2018 midterms. That cycle would have been an absolute bloodbath for Senate Democrats if we had President Hillary. Republicans would have ended up with 57-60 Senate seats.
It is not legal. It is unconstitutional and their elections will not be recognized.
Jennica Lynn is perfect
Why not make it proportional? Seems like it would solve the problem.
Fuck the government. Soon it will be time to murder Jews.
You might be into something there. A lot of people support this kind of a step. But now that I am imagining how this can backfire. Holy hell... If only we could get rid of the electoral college all together.
Neither Democrats or Republicans want to do that because the winner take all system is a major reason we have a two party system. Proportional voting would crack the door open for more parties.
Wrong. They'll all be killed for treason before they learn their lesson.
So if a republican wins the popular vote but is just a few points off from winning, would the Colorado votes go to him, even if the state voted blue? Or will this only be for Democrat candidates
he cant go hard on the mestizos until he wins 2020, he needs some of their vote due to demographic realities
STFU kike
Wrong. They need congressional approval to enter an interstate pact, and that's not going to happen with republicans controlling the senate.
The whole point of the electoral college is to provide better geographic representation, since otherwise the mega cities control everything and only their interests are represented.
