I'd go for japanese myself, but you're right Chinese will be the dominate asian ethnicity. I'm not really sure how that will play out in successive generations, will the chinese hapas and japanese hapas have a hapawar? I don't think it will be that much of an issue. Living here in hokkaido working from home per remote. Comfy as fuck. Neighbours nice. Japanese still have a sense of community. Like events were everybody cleans etc. Thats why taxes are still lower.

Yeah, I think this is interesting. Hapas in the US tend to try to identify with their white side or something, whites clearly shut them down because Asian traits are dominant. The US is just a mess in general as well, which adds to the pain.
I was a hikikomori shut in for most of my childhood so I never really had any issues like this. I was really surprised that even though I am half Chinese half Ashkenazi that no one knew I was not fully Chinese in China.
