Palace of the Arts, used to host the "Museum of our past", destroyed by the commies when they remodeled the Carol Park. On its place now stands the memorial to the Soviet soldiers that "liberated us".
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, got bombed a bit by the Americans in 44', then got destroyed by the commies when they got into power. Why? The building was too "bourgeois" for them.
What happened to pic related?
another pic of the building. Behind it, the Government building that still stands to this day, one of the few in Romania that adopted the brutalist architecture
what happened with a lot of our historical buildings - foreign entities bought them for pennies in the 90's, then they let gippos live in them in order for the building to slowly degrade; when the time came, they evacuated the gippos and razed the building down, citing that it was in "too bad of a condition" to actually repair it. Basically, they do this for the land under the building, considering that most of these constructions are located in the historical center of Bucharest.
pic related, Calea Mosilor, all the buildings in this picture were razed by the commies, who built commie-blocks on top of them
Despite being bombed by the Americans, the roof seems completely intact
First high-rise building of Budapest. the tower got demolished in the 70s, even though there were plans to save it.
they just scratched the building, but it was all the pretext the commies needed in order to raze it down because it represented the past, the bourgeoisie, the boyars etc.
pic related is on Calea Victoriei, the old National Theater. Same story as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was bombed a bit by the Americans in 44', then it was razed completely by the commies in the aftermath.
b-b-but they kept the facade, goy! How it looks like now, it hosts the Novotel.
We didn’t build most of these buildings we only occupied them. All history we are taught is a lie.
Former Military HQ. maybe it looks like this one will get a complete reconstruction
non-ant version
>Berlin City Palace
OH NO NO NO NO
FUCKING KEKMANY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
holy fuck that's god damn heartbreaking. Pic related, all of the buildings on the right side, including the Hotel Britannia, were demolished after the 77' earthquake (which triggered Ceausescu to raze 2/4 of the city for complete commie remodeling). The single building that still stands to this day is the one on the left, which hosts the University of Architecture.
Honestly, why demolish it?
Here the facades got simplified and domes/towers got demolished, but most of the historical buildings survived, since it would have been really expensive to build new buildinsg from scratch. I don't think Romania was economically strong enough to pretty much build new cities from nothing.
This is a waste of money
Did they demolish the back, or only covered it with glass?
Nice building
Literally nothing wrong with that, they did an amazing job with the facade
Except for one side...
Rural architecture tends to be better on the whole. Change my mind
see after the 77' earthquake, Ceausescu had all the pretext he needed in order to completely transform Bucharest into his own "socialist paradise". After a visit in North Korea, Ceausescu was so impressed with the commie blocks and the megalomaniac architecture that he decided to raze 2/4 of the historical city in order to create his commie utopia. And yea, the economy back then was quite good, due to the fact that we were receiving a lot of money from the Western countries - in just 10 years, 2/4 of the city was gone and replaced with massive commie blocks.
the entire building was demolished, even the so-called facade was rebuilt after 89'.
pic related, one of the oldest buildings in Bucharest (circa 1700s), it hosted the Brancovenesc Hospital and the architecture was in the style of neo-romanian. The building was refurbished in the 70s, only to be demolished by Ceausescu after the 77' earthquake, alongside the entire Uranus neighborhood that hosed some of the oldest buildings in Bucharest. On top of it all now stands the People's Palace, which literally displaced an entire hill for its construction.
Here's something oriental: Edo Tokyo
aerial picture of the center of Bucharest (Calea Victoriei) in the early 30s. Out of all of these buildings, only number 7 stands to this day. Most of the area was completely remodeled, first by King Carol II, then by the commies.
>which literally displaced an entire hill for its construction
lmao, wtf. Why did he need such a big building anyway? Did he want to show off to someone?
Inside
megalomaniac, as I've said before. The People's Palace is one of the most retarded buildings in the god damn world. It's so big that it actually costs us 2 million euros/year for its maintenance (with most of the money going towards electricity bills, because the building actually consumes more per year than a 300.000 city, not kidding). To top it all off, only 1/4 of the building is occupied by the Romanian Parliament, the rest is unused because it's literally to big to actually turn it into something useful.
The fact that the construction of the project destroyed one of the most beautiful locations in Bucharest, that was placed on top of a hill that overlooked the entire historical city, was the cherry on top for the commies.
What the Romanian says is accurate about why they're demolished, but there's still more to it.
You know when (((someone))) pretends that art is subjective? Well architecture is the same. If you want to push through (((equality))) then you need everyone to be equal. Everyone isn't equal when one place has some incredible piece of architecture and another is a pure shithole full of ramshackles.
So the easiest solution, and ones that Jews can get involved in too because they have zero creativity, is to simply rebuild them as the most basic looking pieces of shit you can imagine. (((Modern art))) works a similar way, literally anyone can throw paint at a canvas and pretend it's art. The same way anyone can draw a straight line with a ruler. But because Jews like to be praised, they just lack any of the ability to be praised for, they dominate areas like (((modern art))) and (((modern architecture))), because it's easy when (((you))) are the one making the (((rules))).
tl;dr it always has been Jews, it always will be Jews, and it's Jews right now.
>Karátsonyi Palace
>The government gave it to the Third Reich as a present
>Germans demolished it to build a school for local Volksdeutsche
>WWII happened, the new building was finished in late Stalinist style.
Pic rel is going to be rebuilt in Berlin
> the building actually consumes more per year than a 300.000 city, not kidding
Holy fucking shit.
Why not turn it into a national museum? It might turn into something profitable, though it's unlikely with maintenance costs like this. Would the people be against it?
Noice.
Art Deco is always based.
Modern art is money laundering.
Will there be a crescent moon on top of it?
House of the Blackheads, established as a guild for unmarried German merchants.
Germans bombed it during WWII, was restored in the 90s. The name Blackhead name refers to the negro Christian Saint Maurice.
Germany: browning the continent since the 14th century.
>Stucco on the national theater
Apparently goats and acting are related.
So it was a medieval incel club?
>tfw both allies and axis bombed the shit out of your country and yet you still have the highest density of historical buildings in the world
More than that.
Just don't visit Monte Casino
I know, but (((they))) will milk anything they can. Think of it as being like a cherry on the cake. You have the cake, but the icing makes it even better, so does the sprinkles, so do the chopped nuts, so does the cherry etc.
Take 9/11 as an example, there wasn't just one positive, there were multiple ones. The missing $2 trillion that's just been forgotten about, resentment towards people (((they))) hate, an excuse to further Israel's Middle Eastern dominance under the guise of WMDs/hunting down Osama Bin Laden etc, Larry's multi-billion dollar pay off, no need to pay for the removal the asbestos from the towers when they've been destroyed, (((you))) now own a large piece of land in one of the most expensive places in the world to own land. Etc etc.
(((Sex change operations))) work the same way, there's multiple (((positives))) by doing it. Not only are (((you))) being paid to mutilate goys, but thanks to it being promoted in white countries, the one thing white men with their dicks chopped off (I know it's turned inside out, but you get my point) and full of estrogen can't do is the same thing that a white woman full of testosterone and no pussy can't do - breed white children.
Wherever Jews are concerned, you need to think of it like the old
>The toe bone is connected to the foot bone, the foot bone is connected to the ankle bone, the ankle bone is connected to the leg bone etc
Things are never done for one reason (the end goal being the only one). Every meme that leads up to that has many avenues. Jews are professional parasites and will milk literally anything and everything.
If you say
>Jews only do X for Y
Then the only other explanation for why everything else that also fits into can only be explained as pure coincidence. Which I can guarantee you 6m% is not the case.
montecassino is fully restored. thanks to the overwhelming hordes of tourists
what the fuck. they always defended the high building costs because its a 1:1 building and now i see this piece of shit
there's been some talks about rebuilding the donjon but no concrete plans yet sadly
the building is literally to big to host anything useful, there were a lot of plans to occupy the 3/4 of the space but nothing came to be, so it just stands there almost barren, only hosting the Romanian Parliament in one wing. Just to give a perspective, there are multiple rooms inside the building that are larger than a football stadium, not kidding.
this. most of the old architecture was deemed as "dangerous" by the commies, because it actually had beauty in it, representing the individualistic approach that a building can actually look good whilst still having a function for the society. The commies therefor employed massive remodeling of the city in order to turn it into a proletariat utopia, with large apartment blocks (commie nightmares) that hosted hundreds if not thousands of families - and you don't need beauty for this, you just have to make it as collectivist as possible, with everybody virtually getting the same matchbook apartment.
pic related, part of the Uranus neighborhood that was destroyed so that the People's Palace could be built on top of it. In the top right corner you can see the Patriarchy building that still stands to this day, albeit completely surrounded by commie blocks so that nobody can see it (it was done on purpose, given that Ceausescu was an avid atheist that hated the Church).
the original Buda castle will return in 10 years

2023-ra vissza lesz ez is állítva
everything left of the river has been completely razed in the late 70s and early 80s. next picture is how it looks like today
ez is helyreáll 2020ig
I heard the some architects and government officials pressured the leading people of the project to add something modernist to the building.
The side facing the Spree river is also well documented, the main architect of the project said that reconstruction would have been fully possible.
hello user, aki Márk.
>ideje volna regelni a fórumra
Ja, gondoltam rá mostanság. Aztán a fórum elkezdett cseszekedni. Az utolsó oldalakat össze-vissza hozza be, egy rakás posztot nem látok a threadekben.
left side of the picture is what it looks like today, notice the river and how the commie blocks have been specially constructed as to hide away the old part of the city.
It looks like it wasn't its prettiest side.
Literally nothing of value was lost this time.
another picture of the Brancovenesc Hospital that was razed in the 80s to mare room for the park near the People's Palace
de segíthetnél elüldözni hmphoto-t :D
baromarc egyszerűen annyira elcseszett értékeket képvisel hogy száműzném
front side of the building - mind you, this was one of the oldest buildings in Bucharest and it was completely refurbished in the early 70s, only to be demolished in the early 80s
Eléggé kétértelműen fogalmazott Gulyás.
A kupolával most mi lesz?
Dobna a Budai Vár látványán.
Több a kérdés mint a válasz.
Municipal Museum, Stuttgart
They do the same here, because restoring historical buildings has so many rules and regulations involved that you need to be a millionaire to meet them all.
building that hosted the "Arsenal of the Army" (military school). Yet again, destroyed in the late 70s after the earthquake, now on its place stands a Marriot Hotel.
>That WE WUZ on the right
Why...
I live in Pittsburgh and most of our old buildings from the 19th century weren’t destroyed. So our city is very european when it comes to architecture. However commie blocks are already starting to form around them as city grows in GDP. It’s only a matter of time until a certain group of merchants start tearing them down to make way for America’s Brazil-like demographics.

Man, they fucked that up.
Wilson apartment block, built during the interbellum period.
how it looks like today, after the commies completely refurbished it.
Park?
Am szerintem jövő héten bereggelek, a hétvégén úgyis megyek a Budai Várba, majd lövök pár fotót.
Képeket csak X mennyiségű lájk után lehet feltölteni, vagy már rögtön?
Of course, because it was built hundreds of years ago, unlike today's deathboxes.
The Hilton is the single most disgusting thing in the castle and i will never forgive them for building it. What was in its place originally?
actually, if you look at it cost-wise effective, it would cost less to restore the historical buildings (that will still stand in the next 100 years) than to build modernism shitholes that will get replaced in less than 40-50 years due to the materials that are being used in construction nowadays (the companies will always cheap out given that the lowest bidder wins the tender contracts).
in the pic you can see the Imperial Hotel, it was demolished in the 30s by King Carol II, who wanted to extend the Palace's Square in order to make it "more imposing".
A monastery, built in classicist style.
The original facade is still there on the side facing Hess András square.
BLAAAUUGGHHHKKKRRRRRRRRKKKKKKK
LAY MORE TARMAC
TARE DOWN THAT CHAPEL
FILL THE SKY WITH CONCRETE
That;s a beautiful building
got you senpai, pic related, neighborhood constructed in the 70s by Ceausescu, to host the mighty proletariat.
Pic, related is the original facade.

panoramic view of the Militari - Drumul Taberei neighborhoods, both of them built from scratch by the commies in the 50s-70s. They are literally filled only with commie blocks layered in such a pattern that you can essentially get lost immediately if you don't know the area, as everything look literally the same wherever you go.

The purpose of architecture is to make European people go extinct.
ezt a képet meg kell lőni majd megint év vége felé :D
