People saying that this is just to memory hole the abortion bill are either shills or know fuck all about politics. This current situation is one of the biggest long term political stories out there right now. Dems currently have the executive and this year they had a really good chance of taking the legislative from the slim Rep majority. They were set to waltz into the 2020 census with the ability to gerrymander the state blue on a national level for the next decade. Now they're in a position where the party is imploding in an election year and could likely end up with a still split government where the reps gain in the legislative and the executive is devoid of political capital and the state has the possibility of turning back red.
