Near bald 31yo user here - balding since 25.

If its just starting, use some minoxidil (or rogaine) should be fine.

I found it annoying and expensive after a while so I just accepted the balding look.

If you are a confident person in general, being bald actually works better. If you are insecure, better keep on using the hair tonics.

Go to a decent barber and ask for his advice on some good hairstyles which will match your balding.

Once you get into youe late 20's early 30's you start giving less of a shit about what people think so hair isnt as much of an issue.

To be honest that looks like it might no be make pattern baldness. It could be a medical condition.

Had a friend who's hair looked like that on the side his whole life and he's not balding. I on the other hand experienced rapid hair loss all over my head and my life is ruined.

Try a shorter sharper haircut ffs and wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner part of what makes it look shit is a long shitty cut and the hair clumping leaving these big gaps, get a short back and sides and put some volume and wash what's on top and it will look great for at least another 10 years before you need to start Bruce Willis buzzing it.

Just Google high short back and sides. Your hair is too long to look smart you obv don't have ideal hair for being able to let it grow out so just stop and get a tight haircut and sharpen it up.

Not best example but this, receding hair line but the short sides and high cut put emphasis on the length on top and it looks clean and sharp.

Seriously try going shorter than your comfortable with and you will find it's just a confidence thing getting over the fear of that normal length hair safety net. Thinning may or may not get worse or better but the point is you can still control your appearance without subjecting yourself to chemical testing to make some bullshit grow.

Go see a dermatologist. It can be diffuse thinning associated with MPB, but also could be some other medical condition like alopecia or shit like that. The methods of treatment of the two are very different.
