I work in the creative arts. Don't get me wrong, the vast majority of modern art is degenerate bullshit or pseudo-intellectual circle jerking at best, and also a very effective means of money laundering, but thats another discussion entirely.

But I can appreciate certain contemporary works. Working in the arts means you have to have a certain manner of perceiving abstract or intangible notions, something that conservatives have trouble with, hence why much right wing ideaology has trouble with systems theory and hence why policies are rather reductionist.

But to actually make a living in such a competitive field that is full of snowflake millennials that have messiah syndrome means you have to have a sense of responsibility to your clients for project deadlines and a level of real world pragmatism, something that most art school lefties whom cannot even change a lightblub lack. That is why much modern left wing thought is so removed from the concerns of 'real people'.

Its amazing how autistic many people I've met in this field that are very high up and commanding rather ridiculous pay packets. But that is needed, you need to think in abstract, arty terms while also being able to show up on time, do your taxes and work even while not 'inspired'.
