I disagree with OP that he's controlled opposition, but imo the big risk you run listening to Tim Pool is putting too much stock in his troubled leftist persona. Yes, that's probably genuine, but he also acknowledges that his audience is mostly right wing very regularly. And I listen to a lot of right wing content on YouTube, but his videos get me angrier than anything "real" right wingers put out. Its good content dont get me wrong, but I think his story selection and verbal delivery is designed to both get people on the right extremely angry, and also make them think their anger towards the liberal establishment is more mainstream than it actually is because a liberal is agreeing with you.

I think the "will he / wont he convert" shtick is just an emotional hook to draw you into his bullshit. Protip - he won't, he just knows his audience and likes to flatter them by presenting himself as the opposition who's always admitting hes wrong. Dont fall for it.
