Long story short, me and my gf got into a ldr because I had to move out. We barely see each other 2 times a month. Last week was her birthday on a friday and she celebrated it on saturday. I asked her if we could meet up on friday because I wanted to have a date with her alone but she refused simply telling she wants to be alone on her birthday. And she added that we would be seeing each other anyways. I got really mad so the birthday was shit as well. Opinions? Is that a valid excuse or am I being too sensitive?

Idk how long you are together or how old you are but normally in a relationship you want to see each other as much as possible and do something special on the birthday (because its a day that celebrates THAT specific person)

As I said we celebrated it but together with friends. But everyone Ive talked to mentioned this as well. If she really liked me I wouldve been the one she wants to see on her birthday.
We havent been dating for very long but its kinda special. Weve been best friends for 5 years and as a couple we clicked instantly.

Complicated stuff. She has a religious family and isnt allowed to have a boyfriend so we have to keep it a secret. So I cant stay at her place and we cant date there either we have to drive a bit outside of town.

When she has to get out of her way to see you and possibly lie to her family about where she is going, it is understandable that she said to wait till saturday so she can see you without any trouble.

I dont think you're being sensitive at all. Birthdays are traditionally and generally celebrated with the people you love and or care deeply about. She's either lying or doesn't want to be with you anymore, theres no other reason a girlfriend wouldn't want to see her boyfriend on her birthday.

I think thats not really the case. Theres more to it than that. She is really weird when it comes to feelings. This didnt happen just once we had a similar fight a while ago and I wanted to leave her but she begged me to stay and so I did. I dont even know what she actually wants or doesnt want. I feel like she doesnt love me. I feel like im more of a toy for her so she can have pleasure whenever she wants but doesnt really commit to the relationship.
