Did you guys know that the democrat party IS the party of slavery?
Did you know that all slave owners were democrats?
Did you know that there has never been a republican that’s owned a slave?
Did you know that all members of the kkk were Democrats?
Did you know that the Democrats are also the party of segregation?
Did you know that against the will of most southerners the southern state Democrat’s enacted the Jim Crow laws?
Did you know that every republican supported the civil rights act?
Did you know that the only opposition to the civil rights act came from democrats, and the bill almost didn’t pass because of their opposition?
Did you know that in he 1860’s a republican army of the north fought a war against a democrat army of the south and hundreds of thousands of republicans gave their lives to end slavery?
We can’t ignore history. What happened in the past still matters today. Don’t let leftist change their own history. Remind them where they come from everyday.
Fact: The Republican Party was founded primarily to oppose slavery, and Republicans eventually abolished slavery. The Democratic Party fought them and tried to maintain and expand slavery. The 13th Amendment, abolishing slavery, passed in 1865 with 100% Republican support but only 23% Democrat support in congress.

Another fun fact: 14th Amendment - Citizenship for freed slaves. Supported by 94% of the Republicans and 0% of the Democrats.
They did not “switch”. Blacks moved to the dem party in the 1930’s because of the new deal. It broke their hearts to do it. They did it for jobs, they were starving. Southern whites moved to the the Republicans in the 1960’s-1970’s. The two events were not connected at all.
