Some would say stay at home mothers are a thing of the past, but many are fond of the idea today. >What does Jow Forums think of it? >Have any of you had a stay at home mother, or are married to one? What is your experience like?
Some stats: In 1967, 49 percent of mothers were stay-at-home mothers. ... In 2012, approximately 28 percent of American children—a total of 12.2 million children—were being raised by stay-at-home mothers. On average, mothers at home spend 18 hours a week caring for their children compared with 11 hours for employed mothers. (bls.gov)
Pros and cons ---- Pros Increase in child's school performance
Child has less stress and aggression
Social approval of stay-at-home choice
-------- Cons Mothers often desire to go back to work
Mothers have higher levels of sadness and anger
Social isolation for mother, spending time mostly with kids
When I first met my girlfriend, all she wanted was to go to medical school to become a neurosurgeon. Six months after we started dating, all she talks about is to move in with me and be stay at home mother. She doesn't know I'm rich, so I suppose my Jow Forums-talking points have been working.
>Mothers often desire to go back to work >Mothers have higher levels of sadness and anger >Social isolation for mother, spending time mostly with kids My wife stays home with our three sons, and non of this is true. She has a good degree and had a good job, but wanted to stay home. Also she has friends and they have mommy groups and go to lunch and play dates all the time. She loves it.
Nathaniel Robinson
Personally, my mom stayed at home with me for a few years and i loved it She read to me, played with me, id see her cooking and cleaning and because of that, now i have an interest in doing that today.
On the contrary, when my older sister was younger, my mother worked. my sister went to daycare and learnt violent behaviours from other kids, and even got head lice kek.
so i think stay at home mothers are a better choice than a mom who works and has to send their kid to daycares. Me and my boyfriend are planning to do the same when we have kids, ill be at home as a home maker and taking care of our kids, especially because of the country we live in and all the black/asian/brown We talk about this a lot in a server we have, and we like to discuss a lot of traditional topics surrounding the western family life. /t5rV8e
Women were designed to raise children and take care of the household. The fact that modern feminism has vilified tradional female roles is why there are so many angry, bitter cat women in America. Women desire to be dominated by and to serve a man and to raise children and makes sandwiches. God wills it.
Charles Cook
Congrats! I want to become a teacher but the second me and my bf have a serious house and family, i will quit to take care of the kids. And i was the same, months into dating him i started talking about having a bunch of kids and taking care of them all the time. he loves it Boa Sorte user!!
that is so wholesome! Happy wife happy life haha
Yep. I expect my boyfriend/husband to protect me and provide outside of the house, and i will provide my services in the house (cleanin, cooking, planning, childcare...) I love when my boyfriend takes control, and it doesn't make me feel shut down or whatever these feminists think.... gender roles should be embraced and encouraged :)
Women think they want a career and then realize that they do not. Not because they are incapable but because their genetics push for them to be around their children. They do not get the same sense of satisfaction from a career that men do. Ultimately, women in high positions are making a sacrifice that they regret but continue to do so in an attempt to live up to the expectations set upon them by society.
Kevin Thompson
women should be stay at home mothers who get married as virgins at the age of 14 and pair bond properly. no hymen, no diamond.
negress would be obese and whipping her child with a belt while a box of KFC lies in the foreground.
Zachary Kelly
>What does Jow Forums think of it? Would work second job to have qt stay at home waifu with three kids. She could even have a BMI of 28 and I would still sacrifice my hobbies and entertainment for it. 28.1 is too much, tho.
Jack Carter
It’s just not feasible to raise kids in single income homes in the current year
Jaxon Stewart
It may not be the best to be economically well off, but it's certainly the best way for a couple to live. Men can go to work and have less stress because all house duties are done for him. Women have plenty of time to take care of children. Children benefit from having more time with their mothers.
Everyone benefits.
We have also take into account that traditions aren't there just because people are used to it, they are there because they are beneficial.
Adam Smith
>Ultimately, women in high positions are making a sacrifice that they regret but continue to do so in an attempt to live up to the expectations set upon them by society.
Yep, they try to choose society over biology but women are built to take care of a house and kids. hence why women in modern society are always having internal conflicts
also black mothers always shit talk the deadbeat dads kek
Thats a good quality to have as a man, hardworking. it isnt common nowadays. And about the weight thing, if she learns how to cook and makes home made food for you and your family i highly doubt she will have a bmi of 28 anyway heh, but you love who you love right
i totally understand, its an issue that wont be resolved for a while in the us/canada. Its hard enough trying to live w 2 ppl earning money in one house... cutting it down to 1? Yikes.
I am a stay at home mom to three soon to be four boys. Best Job I have ever had.
Do I get lonely? Frustrated? Stressed out? Yeah, that all happens. But not as badly as working 9-5.
My boys are happy, well behaved and enjoy life. What more can I ask for?

Doomed love triangle between third, fourth, and fifth from left.

What's the alternative to being a stay at home mom when you just became a mother? Pump your breasts and make a nanny take care of your newborn? That's kind of a dick move.
Jonathan Rodriguez
Also the tax returns from a modest single income family, with kids - pretty awesome!
Anthony Davis
Good thing working from home is a thing. My husband does construction/roofing, and I sell crafts online. We're expecting, building a studio downstairs, and I'll be able to homeschool. We're not loaded, but it's comfy and I couldn't be happier ^.^
Owen Young
In the present, you need both parties to work in order to have a family. Kids are not cheap!
Caleb Rodriguez
You’re so full of shit, or perhaps you’re from the south
Parker Mitchell
yank born and raised. I don't particuarly care if you believe me or not user lol.
Jaxon Roberts
>Just be rich! And yeah I suppose the TCJA did increase the child tax credit. I’m assuming that’s what you mean by “tax return” That’s a hobby at best, also “just be rich” isn’t a solution
Ryder Foster
None of those cons are real, stupid leaf. Women form little clubs that they take their kids to and make it a gathering. Being a mother used to be a requirement and working was a choice for the rich women. Now working is a requirement and being a mother is a choice for the rich. Which do you think a woman would derive more meaning from, working or motherhood?
Lucas Brooks
My girlfriend will finish her residency as a surgeon and then become a stay at home mom till she opens her own practice
>mfw your gf has no drive because you bully her into accepting gender roles
>Happy wife happy life This is actually very true.
14 maybe a little young to tie the knot, but I started dating my wife when she was 16 and virgin I was 17. I was 26 when we married and had kids 37 now. Being virgins definitely helped us form a stronger bond I believe.
It takes a lot to keep 5 people healthy and happy, stay out of debt the best you can, get a good education, work hard, and save every penny you can get.
Proud southerner.
A lot of you don't realize what it means to be the head of a household. Yes, you should have the final say in all important household decisions, but that also means making yourself the lowest man on the totem pole. In any decision I make how it affects my wife and children is much more important than how it effects me. I will go without if it means they are cared for better. I've been driving the same old Chevy truck for 15 years, my wife has had three new Tahoes since then, and I'm fine with that. If you put your family first they will love you for it.
Also pic related, my wife just took homemade biscuits out of the oven. Life is good.
My wife was the creative services director for a major ABC affiliate when she got pregnant. She left to stay home.

Can you make a profit off doing something you enjoy?
Anthony Parker
What kind of retard would want to take care of some shit brained toddler?
Kevin Richardson
Is your mom a retard, or did she just kick your ass into daycare the minute you popped out?
Brody Long
did you quote the wrong person or something? what the fuck are you talking about?
Kayden Sanders
Daycare kid detected.
Lucas Torres
He said that if a negro woman was to pose to a picture with her child such as the one in the post he quoted, the situation he created would be the composition instead of a beautiful white woman cuddling her white baby in a clean environment.
Brayden Wilson
We aren’t rich.
But believe what you want. We do not pay extra for anything we do not need. We buy used, we shop discounts. We have some nice things, but things and money are not everything.
Jayden King
consumerism has already destroyed our country. darkies and spics aren't even necessary for that.
Oliver Perry
what the fuck kind of autistic outburst is that? like does one just 24/7 have blacks on the mind? I cant imagine not being able to enjoy your life to this extent.
James Robinson
Addressing your cons - my mother went to school for nursing after my youngest sibling started school and didn't need to be babysat during the day and eventually got a rewarding job doing something she liked after spending several years being there to raise us kids. I don't think she was socially isolated at all - she used the free time as a stay-at-home mom to volunteer at our church and for clubs we were in, taking us to swimming lessons and soccer practice, volunteering for the school's PTA, taking us to the zoo, the library, etc.
I suppose he is showing his appreciation for white women (or the woman in the picture) with an extreme opposite comparison.
Evan Sanchez
Yes, my wife who is highly educated stayed home for 11yrs to raise our kids. I worked hard and made good money, bought real estate, and the kids experienced a fantastic childhood. The alternative of having some stranger(s) raising your kids in questionable daycare facilities is a nightmare.
The nuclear family, and their intended roles are the foundation of advanced modern civilization — see single mothers, the “career woman,” absentee father figures, and latchkey and welfare mentality “families.”
The fact anyone argues any positives of the natural role of active mothers and its huge importance is self-defense by low IQ retards, degenerate roasties, and muh dick grabbing sub-species apologists.
Sebastian Long
true. a lot of mothers wanna say they have a kid but dont actually wanna put in the effort to properly raise one. I want to do the same. I draw a lot and can be very crafty... hopefully one day I can make a little extra cash like you are!
yeah thats something i think about a lot
i know a lot of women like that. usually plain canadians who tell me "kids seem horrible id rather be selfish and make a lot of money!!!"
When my wife was doing her Masters, one of the required courses was "Career Development" where they pushed career development, advancement and general corporate ladder cock climbing. Every single girl in her cohort hated the class, and every time they had to do group projects 25% of the time would be for getting the assignment done and 75% would be for bitching about how stupid the whole thing was. Their attitude was "Why do I have to take this idiot class, I don't want a 'career', I literally want to work for ~2 years, have kids, and stay at home."
Now, almost 2 years later, we're getting set up to do exactly that. She's going to be a stay at home mom.
Gabriel Sanchez
yeah... im in school right now but really dont wanna be in it.. really just doing it so i can satisfy my parents. i want to be a teacher so im gonna take advantage of school so i can become one, but if i had a choice id be making strides for my future right now.
Benjamin Young
Did she just stay in the house all day? Mine has more of a social life than I do, junior league, FB mommy groups, play dates at the park, school shit with the older two, and they eat lunch at some fru fru place almost everyday. She just finished the dishes from dinner, now she's making valentine's day boxes for the kids.
Theres a discord where we discuss these issues a lot, everyone is very friendly and open for discussion, its called tradition singles general, feel free to pop by!! /t5rV8e
My wife has a masters degree and used to work as a speech therapist in an elementary school until we had a child. She is now a stay at home mother and loves it. She’s told me that it’s the most fulfilling thing she’s ever done in her life and she relishes it. It can be isolating if you let it but she has a group of other stay at home mothers that she socializes with. It makes me proud as a man to be able to support my family in the traditional way despite the fact that it has become increasingly difficult to do it financially in this day and age.
Brayden Rodriguez
oh i see you wanna make up for your mutt genes understandable mate
>Also she has friends and they have mommy groups and go to lunch and play dates all the time. She loves it. Jamal enjoys it too
Hunter Reed
so i was literally right then?
David Price
why did she even get her Master's if she was only going to work for 2 years then become a stay at home mom? what kind leaf logic is that?
Asher Edwards
T. Insecure nigger

My wife stays at home. If a woman is more concerned about socializing with random idiots in their collapsing world you picked the wrong one. Friends of ours with the same set up also seem to be happier than others that dont.
We catch more shit from hippy sluts and basedboys than anyone else... and theyre all perpetually single and intoxicated. Their children are raised by their grandparents.

you're more turk than me mate

I would never let some dumb whore live for free. Then again I would never have children. Then again I'd never let some dumb whore move in, ever
Alexander Mitchell
My wife got a masters too only to leave the workforce. The reasons are simple. She’s smarty and wanted to pursue an advanced degree, she wasn’t sure at the time if we would be able to afford for her to stay home (thanks to feminism fucking up men’s wages), and lastly because once the kids grow up she can work again. Luckily I ended up making good money and she doesn’t have to work now while we have small kids.
I remember when i was a kid i had a cousin in new york who was in acting he was a tv star i stayed at his house and his dad made us dance at like 4am (not sexual) and watch 1940s era movies with no sound and booming music
Nobody cares about your ethnic natalist fetish you complete loser
Xavier Sanchez
Lol no way the amount of wageslaveing a man would have to do with today's value of money and prices...It's suicide by 50s
Blake Nguyen
No, but she can make those too.
Robert Reyes
you need to be over 18 to post here lad

My wife has our first child on the way - a boy. I'm super pumped. She's keeping her job until the baby comes out, riding maternity leave then going to be as much of a stay-at-home mom as she can (which should be doable, if a little frugal, on my salary alone).
My step sister just quit her job to be a full-time stay at home mom. She felt like she was losing precious time and connections with her child, and she had the cushiest job in the world - a kindergarden teacher. Even that was too much.
My dear younger sister, however, really wants to climb the corporate ladder bad. She's 29 and unmarried - I'm worried for her. She's ultra liberal and the mind virus I'm worried is going to rot away her future if something can't be done.
She legitimately thinks women shouldn't be given maternity leave so they can get back to being strong and independent, and that maternity leave somehow keeps them down. Her solution is a massive, free, state-run daycare starting at 6 months for all children.
IDK but unlike to have a steak every next day..I could say goodbye to that

so by that map no one's white? interesting theory moshe haven't heard that one from certain people before

All those cons are bullshit. My wife stays at home (and home schools) our three kids (leaving a career with a master's degree) and loves it. Yeah, there can be hard days sometimes, but knowing that you're working for the greatest achievement a person can achieve makes it all worthwhile. Also, if you're plugged into a church community it further mitigates a ton of those cons.
If your wife would rather make PowerPoints for $50k a year than raise your child you need to find a new wife.
