I think idealistically they would like to convince enough men to ignore women so that the paradigm shifts and then the ball is in the man’s court to choose who he wants to be with.

I once felt this way; money was the single most important thing in life. After college and getting a job that pays pretty well I have money now and I realize it isn't everything. Once you cover your essentials, like housing and food and utilities you get to splurge on what you want but you quickly realize fancy new toys become dull and outdated and your desires start to shift. Everything I wanted as a kid is within my immediate reach now but what is hard to get are meaningful relationships and even friendships. When I'm on my death bed I'd rather be surrounded by people who love me than degree plaques and pay stubs. But that's just me. Most of the relationships and girlfriends I had before that experience the girls were good to me and I tried my best to be good to them.
