Wanna know something funny? During my first DMT trip, after I experienced ego death, a great bright light enveloped me and was warmer than anything I had ever experienced and made me feel safe, but then as my head was filled with information by it I started noticing things that were off and felt manipulative. I spoke in my head to the light, basically remembering that verse you mentioned at the end of your post, and suddenly I felt so much utter terror and fear from the light entity and my mind was ejected back to the material plane.
