'Making the world better' is subjective, but for me I feel like I am contributing by doing research on ecosystems and insects to inform farmers on how healthy their soils are and what the cost of pest insects might be. I also volunteer at a local eco sanctuary and teach children about the benefits of invertebrates. I even let some of the braver kids hold spiders and help them reduce fear of creepy crawlies. I try to be kind and honest in interactions and transactions.
